Caution: do not go here. Let's start off by saying this restaurant doesn't even offer fresh cracked pepper to their customers for salad and pasta that is overpriced to begin with. This place got 4.5 stars out of 5 on Google reviews, so we decided to try it. Honestly, giving them a cent of my hard earned money is my biggest regret of the trip. I ordered the Chicken Yakitori and a Garden Greens salad (1 of only 2 salad options). Our family waited a half hour to get our food, kids were starving. My Yakitori came to the table cold as gazpacho. I sent it back to the kitchen. They brought it back 25 minutes later when the family was already done eating, without the dipping sauce it comes with. They said they would take it back again, I said, "Please do and take it off the bill this time while you're at it." The family all ate dinner. I left hungry. This is not to mention that their Garden Greens salad is up there in contention for the worst salad I've had. The poppyseed dressing was way too sweet and thick. And for a $23 salad, when I asked for fresh cracked pepper, they said no, sorry, we have pepper packets. Without some heat to counterbalance the sweet dressing, or even some acid like lemon or balsamic, or some blue cheese. Something. Anything. Anything to counter that overpoweringly sweet and way too thick dressing, that I underdressed and still as intolerably mediocre. This place should be ashamed...

We typically prefer non-hotel restaurants while on vacation, but this was restaurant was fabulous! We walked into the restaurant with no reservations and they were so accommodating. The view was beautiful and the live music was just setting up as we were seated. The musician turned out to be a wonderful young man playing the guitar and singing awesome songs. Very entertaining. The menu had a great selection for our family. We even had one family member who has dietary restrictions and the chef was very accommodating with his needs. Plus, his meal was delicious despite the limited items and spices he can eat. The rest of the party ordered the fish of the day (ono), truffle burger and mentaiko pasta. For cocktails, we ordered the skinny pina, cucumber elderflower collins, classic manhattan and lemonade.
We were too full to order dessert but continued to enjoy the wonderful live music.
There is plenty of parking, but if you prefer valet since the restaurant is part of the Grand Hyatt, it...
Read moreIt was out last night and we thought we would rake a walk over to check out the Grand Hyatt Kauai. I only wish we would have done it our first night. The property is beautiful and there were so many different restaurant to choose. We choose the best I think with the Seaview Terrace. There is a band that plays music as you gaze out to the ocean and they were really good. The tables were perfect size for my family of 4 and the chairs were extremely roomy making it so hard to leave. The menu was very diverse from burgers to poke and everyone in my family's taste was satisfied. Our server Andrew and his team were the perfect timed trio. Always attentive without being intrusive. We definitely recommend coming here and we will absolutely be back. Thank you team for ending our trip on such a...
