Poipu Sands — Hotel in Kauai

An incredible location- near all the action of Poipu Beach, but with some privacy and more space to spread out too (importantly, my kids were able to play soccer in the lawn areas!) Nice location. Short walk down to the beach. Misleading management. Was told there would be no construction affecting the building or adjacent buildings that I was staying in. However, during our stay, our building was affected greatly. Front door path was blocked off, caution tape right outside our patio, and no parking in front of our building. Our second time staying at Poipu Sands, and we loved it just as much this time as the first visit. Location is a strong point if you like to walk/run along the ocean, as the path in front of condos run right down to the shore. We loved walking over to Shipwreck Beach to watch the sunset, or take the path in the opposite direction to get down to Lava Arch and Poipu Beach
