We loved everything about this local spot except the wait! Great prices - probably one of the best priced spots to eat that you’ll find on the island! We fed our family of four for under $60 and left full and happy! We had the Ohana Sampler cut into 4ths and the Tator tots. Generous portions and you can totally share. They cut it into fourths for us. Really delicious! My husband was really excited to try the spam musubi and it didn’t disappoint. We all loved the food! The place is easy to find, easy parking, lots of seating - picnic tables and stools. You could go alone or with a large group of- they have enough space and the vibe is really laid back, visually cool space! About as authentically local as you can get with local artist painted murals - food aside, worth going just to check out Alana Fowler’s artistry. Roosters and birds running around add to the feeling you’re hanging out in some friend’s backyard space that they’ve thoughtfully decked out:) There’s a little stand if you want to purchase some gear to remember your visit. Worth noting - don’t go hangry! Go before your group is starving and grumbling!! We waited 30 minutes for our food even though there weren’t many people there. If you anticipate that and don’t go when you’re in a rush, you’ll love this place! We would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Highly recommend. A hidden gem off of Kuhio Hwy in Kapa’a and could easily be missed if you are not looking for it. Reasonable prices and delicious food. We ordered the Ohana Sampler, which comes with one of each of their musubi - the OG, Da Bomb, Miso Happy, and Sooo Tofu. Each of these musubi (minus the OG) is served with a different, complimentary homemade sauce. Our favorites were the Da Bomb and the Miso Happy. The OG is a classic done well at excellent price. The Sooo Tofu is light and fresh, filled with veggies, served with peanut sauce, but after the other three, this one seemed to be lacking in flavor. The Musubi Truck also serves poke bowls, bento boxes, and slushies. As this is a food truck, they have three picnic tables with umbrellas and a bar with stools and an umbrella for seating. Make sure to double check times before heading over - on weekends, they are only open 10am to 5pm. Overall, definitely give this place a try!

We (to mild surprise) enjoyed the OG musubis the most followed by the Misohappy and fried musubis. For some reason we weren't as satisfied with the Da Bomb and the Chicken Katsu. Each of the larger musubis comes with a sauce. For us it was a Katsu sauce, a thousand island type sauce for Da Bomb, and a creamier sauce for the Misohappy (which I enjoyed the most of the three). I think we were looking for more seasoning in the rice and I really think Da Bomb would benefit from some pickled vegetables (kinda like Vietnamese pickled veggies that you'd find in a bahn mi) - a little brightness to balance the richness (or maybe a little lime? Li hing? Lilikoi? Sushi rice with a little rice vinegar?... I dunno, something). The fried musubis we're very good warm, but same for the seasoning (maybe a furikake with a little more punch?). Maybe I'm crazy. Really cool concept. I would try this one again. I love musubis.

The disrespect and immaturity by the staff at this food truck was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. Had been dying to come here and try their food and was horrified by our service. The girl working the front was already initially not overly friendly when we arrived and seemed annoyed to even have customers. As our group sat waiting for food, one of us had to wipe off a cut from hiking and have a bandaid put on her toe. This is an outdoor environment, nobody was near us, this was not a gory situation. It was simply one person helping another person assess a cut on her toe and apply a bandaid. The girl at the front was making horrible LOUD comments about how we are ghetto, pathetic, disrespectful, calling the attention of other customers coming to the counter, getting the other girl working and the cook to all stare at us through the window. It became so bad that I was second hand embarrassed for her classes behavior. It’s sad that nobody has set expectations for this girl or taught her basic customer service skills and overall human respect. Instead of offering kindness when someone is clearly injured she was mocking her publicly for having a partner who helped her. I regretted our decision to eat here immediately. When it came time to grab our order she conveniently disappeared which solidified what an immature and cowardly person she is. Thanks for trying to bring our group down, 0/10 recommend eating here unless they clean house or unless you like people mocking you when you’re injured. The way we were treated made our food...

Just a disclaimer the food tasted amazing (5 stars for that). We ordered the ahi and chicken katsu masubi meal combos. However, in a few hours my entire family that consumed the chicken kastu masubis could not stop vomiting/hold anything down. My husband only ate the tuna masubi and was ok. Just a warning if you order the chicken kastu masubi. I will say the food all tasted delicious so I’m sad that we had this experience but want to warn anyone that might order in the future. It also might’ve been the sauce that came with the chicken kastu? Either way food was amazing just sad that our family ended up getting food poisoning after consuming the chicken kastu masubis 😔this was also the only item we all ate in the last 24 hours.

We tried placing an order online and it wouldn’t go through. We called before we arrived to make sure it was ok we were coming right before they closed and the staff member who picked up the phone had no problem. However once we arrived she was very upset and angry. I wish she would’ve just said she couldn’t accept my order. As only the items I ordered for myself and my brother who called ahead were affected. Really disappointed.

Expected a lot more and had been so excited to try this spot our entire trip. Just a warning to any patrons don’t attempt to order after 4:30 😔 unless you want to have GI issues for several hours. Not a great way to end our Kauai trip and definitely...
