Kapaa Beach — Attraction in Kauai

You would think that the fact that they have a county tax and a state tax that they could put a simple lock or clasp on the only door to one single toilet at Kapa’a beach. You would think that they could make the door or walls out of MDF with a cleanable veneer but no can… used regular plywood with choke paint. The paint is bubbling off which leads to disrespect. Not my favorite. The sun goes down in the western part of the island so it’s colder and less sunny later in the day. Waves were intense and saw no one swimming. Lots of driftwood taking over the beach area. There are bathrooms with an overloaded trash and no soap. The surrounding area has lots of houses with messy yards and stinky trash. This is my favorite beach for a simple reason: it’s empty. Hardly anyone is here so if you want to vibe in the back of your trunk directly next to the beach, this is the spot. Bring music, a towel and you can chill here with hardly anyone interfering with your chill. I love it.
