When we arrived, I was a little turned off by the parking. Parking is very limited on the side, but there is a large gravel parking area in the back. The parking lot was full, even on the back side. I figured they were either very busy or that it was a parking lot utilized by multiple businesses. On their drive through, they have a sign that reads, "WARNING: WORLDS SLOWEST DRIVE THROUGH." In my opinion, this is a good thing. it's not fast food, it's cooked to order food. If I wanted fast food, there are plenty of options in the area.
Going into the store was very organized! Walk in, order or meet your people at a table, grab drinks and condiments (they have their own ranch dressing bar with different types of ranch), get a table, put your number on the table, food comes to you. Pretty simple!!
When we walked in there were very few tables left for seating and the place was packed. Peak lunch time, it was, and lots of people came here. Usually a good sign!
I often get nervous when I eat somewhere new and the portions are large. Usually more food=less quality. That way, people dont gripe about it not being as good because they get a lot. Waiting to order these platter and bowls looked massive! Salads being served in mixing bowls, fries, tots, and onion rings overflowing with burgers. I asked my spouse if we should order one item and share but we decided not to because of menu choices.
Remember my previous general statistic about quality vs. quantity? Not the case for Wings over Kaufman! Their food was fabulous and abundant! The staff was very nice and friendly, very helpful and came by to make sure everything was cooked correctly. My burger was awesome and fresh, tots were cooked perfectly. The wife had Buffalo chicken tenders and side salad. We ordered fried pickles also that were amazing!
Kaufman is only 25 minutes from my house, and I will be back! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Pricing was very fair as well. We spend around 30 for two people with an appetizer. We were served food for 4 and had to...
Read moreHusband and I have been going here for decades. We remember when the plane was inside. Normally the food is good but lately the quality is slacking. I've always found the boneless wings to be rather dry but my husband likes them so he doesn't have to deal with the bones. Over the last few months, the seasoning has been on the inadequate side on both bone-in and boneless wings. They used to have a ranch bar but since Covid19, it is closed. I get that but it is still there where we used to get our own ranch but now they want to charge $.50 for less than 2 Tbsp of it. They also want to charge extra for their lack of seasoning when my husband requested more buffalo sauce. All we wanted was to get the quality back to where it used to be. It would be better to increase the prices than to decrease the quality. Manager on duty begrudgingly did give us one portion cup of ranch, but mockingly did so by stating "Here is your 'free' fifty cents". It was done in such a poor manner and it reflects poor customer service. In the past, the staff was friendly and accommodating but the current staff comes across as disingenuous. Fortunately, we live closer to another wing location who has wings that are as good but who has better customer service. Sadly, my hometown "Wings" as we called it has lost two faithful customers. Hopefully owner will see this and address this before...
Read moreTwo of us went in for the first time. We had been hearing about this place for a long while. We went on a week night at 530pm. The place was almost empty. There were 4 large screen tvs tuned to sports. But it was great because they were not blaring the sound. The place looked very clean. We were welcomed as we walked up to the counter to order. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a hamburger with two drinks and one order of tots. The drink counter was clean. The sweet tea was very weak and not real sweet. Our meals arrived steaming hot very quickly. The chicken was a bit on the spicy side but was tall good. I added ranch on the side to take some of the spicy bite out of it. Sadly, it only had one piece of wimpy lettuce on it with a large tasty tomato slice. Next time I will ask for extra lettuce and to add a pickle slice. The hamburger was well prepared and tasty. The tots were very good with limited salt. Which is perfect. One can always add more salt. But it is hard to get rid of too much salt. We would come back. We recommend the items we ate. As we left we were wished...
