This is a breath of fresh air that Kearney needed. The building is located just north of the tracks, which might make parking a little cumbersome at first.
For now, it's probably best to really check in person couped with the live view to see how busy the place is to make sure you can get a parking spot.
If you're fine with walkithmthough, then do so, because it's ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.
We got in, and the colors in the shop hit you, and they're just absolutely fantastic. Something you really don't see in town at all with so many businesses trying to be as cookie-cutter as possible.
The display for ice cream is straight to the point, and the menu itself is clear and easy to read. There are a good number of options, too, but not so many that you feel completely overwhelmed.
There was a good amount of seating for the size of the shop, and even some seats right next to the window if that's your jam!
The ice cream was delicious, and everyone enjoyed theirs completely. If i did have to point anything out, the only thing that I did have a problem with and another person in our group was we found the seats to be very uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else there was...
Read moreFound this super cute amazing place while driving around Kearney! Just opened a few weeks ago! Owner was there working and very kind! What I love love love about their ice cream is it is from Tillamook! Tillamook is family a owned company by farmers and not owned by a huge corporation that puts crap in their food. So they don't use a whole bunch of different dyes and artificial flavorings, which is why their strawberry ice cream and mint chip aren't really really pink or green. I personally love this and love that this company buys their ice cream from them to serve to the community. Shows they really care!:) Staff was so kind, and friendly. Greeted us when we came in and said goodbye when we left! We will definitely be coming here for our ice cream and so...
Read moreIt was a pretty warm day, so my parents, my daughter and I stopped to get something cold. There was only one lady working, but she was knocking it out of the park, getting orders taken and out pretty quickly, then taking payments as well. We ordered 2 shakes, a cup of ice cream and an ice cream cone and we were in there no longer than 10-15 minutes max. My ice cream was delicious! I had Dutch chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone. My family seemed to enjoy their ice cream as well. I'm not sure of the exact prices or total amount, as my Dad treated us that day, but I don't remember items being priced outrageously. Altogether, I would say we had a great experience with the Golden Spoon and will definitely...
