Legacy on the Bricks — Attraction in Kearney

The venue was absolutely stunning and it was a one stop shop for a wedding venue. There was a huge selection of things we can choose from with decor and event planning like the bar, DJ, popcorn bar etc. They are newer to the area, so there were a lot of bumps in the road during our planning which definitely created a lot more stress and kept changing what they originally had agreed on each time we sat down to go over details. The two owners definitely lack communication between each other which led to confusion, stress and frustration during my wedding reception. If you plan to book with them, I definitely recommend having everything written down and keep tabs on what is agreed on. There were three separate phone numbers and two different emails I had to bounce back back-and-forth to try to get into contact with the venue. We had the venue Friday through Sunday and they kept locking the doors on us without saying anything when we would go out and get decorations/supplies or go grab food in between setting up the venue. In our contract, we agreed that we were going to have Canes cater for the bridal party and once our food arrived, the male owner questioned our food and then threw away my own meal before I was able to finish it.The security guards take their job very seriously, multiple of friends and family mentioned they felt like being babysat the entire night. I get safety reasons but it was an overkill for sure. Also, cost upfront was a little gray area and everything that was “added” on to the venue was an extra cost then what was initially said in the first meeting when we signed the contract. In the end, we spent WAY more than we initially were wanting or planning on. We got married May 25th and there was no phone calls, text or emails after the wedding asking about the experience or showing appreciation of choosing their services. I had my wedding at Legacy. The venue itself is gorgeous! The tables and decor was set up when I walked in on Friday morning which was amazing!! The communication was pretty great leading up to the wedding. I sent information and questions a couple days before the wedding and got no response. When showing up on Friday to decorate, no one could be found to answer questions and help out with other things I needed that they were supplying. The workers didn’t know what was happening. The only person who knew the information and details was Bailey. Bailey is a joy to work with so honest and wants to make the best experience for you! I just wasn’t impressed with the lack of assistance and communication between the owner (Bailey) and staff members. I had to ask about things multiple times. I had a previous encounter 10 days before when it was communicated I would be dropping off a flash drive. When I showed up, no one was there. The Legacy on the Bricks made our special day even more special!!! From the first time we toured the space we fell in love with the beautiful space and we were amazed with their hospitality and willingness to go above in beyond for our big day. Bailey Bolte was amazing at communicating as well as sharing her expertise. A lot do the venues and vendors we looked at were focused on us buying more expensive packages or things that would get them more money, that was not the case here! Bailey was honest, gave advise, and focused on what was best for us. Nicole Elstermeier was amazing at coordinator and managing our evening. She stayed on top of things, made sure went as smoothly as possible, and even kept up with my last minute changes with a smile on our face. She also set up our sweetheart table which we were in love with and got tons of compliments. On top of Nicole being wonderful there was multiple other Legacy team members there helping with things, it all ran so smoothly! We cannot recommend this venue...
