While the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff was pretty friendly the whole experience left a lot to be desired. I had the Kansas City cheese steak sandwich. It was average. The steak on it was good, but the amount of filling in the sandwich was overwhelmed by the shear amount of bread. This left the sandwich tasting flavorless most of the time. My wife ordered the Beef Wellington. I'd really advise against ordering this at a menu price of $$$$$36$$$$$$. It was relatively small for the ridiculous menu price. The flavor wasn't anything special either. It was very difficult to comprehend the menu price.

The restaurant is also a little small for all the tables they are trying to cram into the space. I witnessed no less than a half a dozen times where waiters either almost ran into each other or costumers almost running into waiters. The salad bar is a nice addition if you add it to your meal. The salad bar has a decent variety of topping selections and and the standard salad dress varieties and a soup. The soup was a chicken tomato bisque that night which was rather good.

The final downfall of the restaurant that evening is that even though the wait staff was courteous our table had to continually request drink refills as they were overlooked over and over by the wait staff. Finally when it was time for us to leave we requested two to go boxes and the check. The waitress forgot about us and every time she saw us she told us she was on it. This happened three times, before the waitress finally brought the boxes and checks nearly 35 minutes later.

I'd say Alley Rose is worth the visit, but my experience was not one that I'd want to repeat. The overall cost, service, and atmosphere just doesn't...
