If I could give them 0 stars I would
I put in an order to get a small cake for my husband and specifically requested to have it say “Happy birthday” and my husbands name. I repeated it 3 times and those 3 times the person who took my order said she understood. I arrive to pick up the cake and the girl in the front tells me that they don’t write happy birthday that they never do or have in the past they only write the person’s name. Which is ridiculous because I know she’s lying since the person on the phone reassured me that they would write that and online they literally have picture of THEIR cakes that have the words “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” written on them.
I was given the number to the manager, I texted AND called to try to get this resolved and they are not willing to take accountability for their mistakes or correct this issue. That is not how you run a business.
I don’t recommend this bakery at all, on top of the place being dirty the workers there need better training and need to learn to own up to their mistakes and apologize when they’re wrong. We are paying customer. The cake was also SUPER OVERPRICED for the quality of the cake, they don’t know how to make sure a cake is smooth, look at all those lumps. STAY AWAY from this place, there are so many better bakery’s in the area.
Update: Finally got a hold of the manager by literally calling the store instead, she understood the situation and apologized on behalf of her employee who did not mention that they weren’t writing “happy birthday” on cakes anymore like they have in the past. Read moreThis place is HORRIBLE. The staff unprofessional. Over the weekend i hosted my sisters bridal shower in the poconos and picked up 2 tres leches cakes before heading 2 hours away. Well I’m a home cook/ baker just thought it’d be easier to buy cakes with everything else i had to do. Well when i got to the poconos the milk from the cakes leaked all over my back car seat. They need to re-evaluate the containers they’re using for these heavy cakes because it’s straight asinine. They’re using thin flimsy clear plastic containers that you should be putting a salad in. They say common sense isn’t so common and they’re right about that!!! They told me how to “carry” the bag but not how to “transport” it; if they have to say anything at all they KNOW of the flaw and it has had to give other people issues. And the person who answered the phone claiming to be “the owner” was a completely rude and disrespectful person, someone I’d definitely be firing. They basically told me to screw off and hung up on me. I know A LOT OF people and I’m going to make it my business to put this place out of business. If i could give negative stars I would. Absolutely no sense of customer service. 100% contacting my bank to dismiss this charge and I’ll be contacting the better business bureau because this “owner” is a disgrace to small business owners. Read moreI wouldn’t recommend ordering from this bakery, I placed an order for a cake and was charged right away, which was no problem for me. but the lady who took my order never informed me on their cancellation policy. Apparently you’re not allowed to cancel an order not even 24 hours after placing it. The person who the cake was for had an accident, so I tried to cancel it the following day after placing the order. Mind you the cake was needed for August 30th. the lady on the phone wouldn’t let me cancel my order or refund me for it. I placed the order way in advance from when I wanted to pick it up. It was at least a week and a half notice so i don’t understand why this is such an issue especially since this policy of “no cancellations” wasn’t even explained to me. They told me to speak to the manager who is not even in the store so I have been calling and texting the manager for two days and haven’t heard anything back. I even asked the lady when the manager will be back to work and she was clueless and responded with “maybe next week.” They’re just reluctant to help and I’m pretty disappointed because I was definitely excited to use them in the future. I’m not one to write long reviews but I had to share this to make other people aware of this because I now have to file a dispute with my bank and go through this whole process.
