Stopped into B1 Tavern with my boyfriend for a late lunch early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. I should preference this review saying that I am very picky when it comes to dining out and most times I am often left underwhelmed thinking I could have made something more enjoyable at home. This was certainly not the case at B1 Tavern. We started with wings as an appetizer and they were cooked perfectly and just the way I liked them. A little crispy on outside and juicy when you bite in. I got sauce on the side just so I could try different ones. They offered a mouthful of flavor and took the wings to another level. (Buffalo and Mango Habanero) For my main meal I ordered the blackened Grouper Sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the Toasted Italian Sub both recommended by our Server Lisa and both did not disappoint. The portions were extremely generous and the you could tell they they used quality ingredients. I'm not sure if they also make their dressings and sauces in house but you could certainly tell they were not getting it from wishbone..LOL Overall it was a great experience and we will defiantly be back. To be completely honest the prices are certainly on the higher end but for me, I would rather pay a little more for better quality. I think our Tab was just under $100 before tip ( I did have two drinks) But if you are ok with spending a little more then you should certainly check this place out. Also a shout out to Lisa who was our Bartender/Server she was fantastic and offered some good...
Read moreWent on a Sunday for brunch. Got there a little after they opened. Someone greeted the couple who went in before us and showed them where to sit and then never came back to us and was at the bar talking to another staff member. After standing there for another minute someone showed us where to sit. Saw others come in and stand around. Not sure if it is seat yourself, but there is no sign. Had to wipe off the chairs ourselves as there were crumbs on each.
We really enjoyed the bloody mary bar. Lota of mixins and fixings. They also have a mimosa bar with lots of fruits and sweets. We missed having shrimp for the bloody marys as those appeared awhile after we had made ours.
Was brought the wrong food from what I ordered. Fixed it pretty quickly, but my husband was then done a lot sooner than I was. The Monte Cristo was different. Okay. Didnt have any powdered sugar on it and wasnt served with any jam or sweet sauce as is typical for a Monte Cristo. Roasted potatoes were good.
They were really busy and maybe there wasn't enough staff? Couldn't tell who was in charge or was the manager like you often can at a restaurant.
May go back and try dinner or a lunch...
Read moreAnother burger review... Hungry and wanting to enjoy this beautiful afternoon sun we are having, I chose B1 Tavern in Kego Harbor. I've been here before and knew that they have a great patio that faces west that is perfect for enjoying sunsets. So, here I am. I, of course, ordered the burger which was listed as one of the best things on the menu by the server (very sweet and bubbly personality, BTW). She asked how I would like it cooked. And y'all know what I said... "medium rare." My food arrived in a reasonable time and it looked great. Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, etc... So, after I dressed it with ketchup and mayo, and before I cut it in half, I said to myself... "Let's see if they know how to cook a burger." The answer is... no. It came back medium to well done, as you can see from the photo. Please don't ask how someone wants their meat cooked if you cant deliver. But, the sunset is great and so I'm eating my hockey-puck of a burger and enjoying life...
