Have been to the Keller location a couple of times but this is the first attempt at using the mobile app. We placed the order a little after 4 pm for a 6 pm pickup. My wife ordered an Amy O Turkey sandwich however did not want the bread it came with so it was deselected at the time of order. The mobile app did not prompt us to make a substitution at the time of order and we did not thing to go to the end of the screen to find that there were other options. Arrived to pickup the order at 3 minutes till 6pm. It was not ready or even started to be assembled. I paid for the order but since the system relies on someone telling someone else that I was there and could not get my name right. A person came out telling me that they did not have my order under the name that the cashier told them. Well the cashier could not rely the correct name. After a few more minutes the same person came out and asked me what bread we wanted which was a little frustrating as this order should have been ready. Got a bread selected and waited a few more minutes. Order finally came out and I left the building only to have the same person chase me to the parking lot giving me my wife's sandwich. Got home and we found a container with someone else's sandwich in it along with what we ordered. Frustrating to use the mobile app and give them two hours to get the order assembled and it is not till I walk in the door that they even begin the process and then get it wrong.... Left the parking lot at 6:10pm for an order that was wrong and was ordered 2 hours earlier. Why use the mobile app if I have to wait to have the order...
Read more"Cracker Heist at Jason's Deli – A Salad Bar Saga"
Oh, Jason's Deli, the place where salad dreams are made, or at least they used to be. My recent visit left me pondering life's mysteries as I navigated the dwindling options at the salad bar.
You see, I, like any sensible salad enthusiast, had my heart set on the classic chicken and tuna options. Alas, they were nowhere to be found. It was a salad crisis of epic proportions. I stood there, salad tongs in hand, contemplating my leafy green future without these protein-packed companions.
But lo and behold, just as I was about to launch a full-scale investigation into the missing poultry, my attention was diverted. An older lady, a true salad bar maverick, was busy emptying all the cracker containers into her purse. I couldn't help but wonder – did a similar fate befall the chicken? Was there a covert cracker conspiracy at play?
I mean, who knew that the salad bar could be such a hotbed of intrigue? Perhaps this seasoned cracker smuggler was onto something. Maybe she had insider information on the whereabouts of the missing chicken and tuna. Or maybe, just maybe, she was a visionary, foreseeing a future where crackers would be the currency of choice in the salad underworld.
In the end, I left Jason's Deli with a salad that felt a little emptier, both in terms of toppings and the unfulfilled promise of a chicken and tuna reunion. But hey, at least I gained a newfound appreciation for the stealthy snack habits of the senior salad set.

Read moreJasons deli in Keller TX tonight September 1, 2021 was a disaster. I’m going to start by saying the salad bar was dirty and not stocked. There was not a clean table in the restaurant at 8:15 at night. I know we’re all understaffed these days and I know there’s lots of rules due to Covid but this representation of a restaurant tonight was absolutely unacceptable. If I could give a negative star rating I would. The thing that probably put me over the edge this evening as I sat there eating dinner a young Jason deli employee pre-staging catering boxes and putting them on dirty tables that had not been cleaned. He just move the dirty dishes to the next table and place the catering boxes on a dirty table. I was so appalled by this that I spoke with Faith the supervisor about this as there was no manager on duty tonight…. After I spoke with Faith she had someone somewhat clean the tables and clean the salad bar, but the person cleaning the salad bar was just picking stuff up off the rail and throwing it back into the containers of salad bar items, not sure this is health code approved .. I have worked food service and I am currently working retail. Employees like this would not work for me…. Again the restaurants was understaffed not sure why there was not a manager there tonight, but if I was a District, GM and I was short staffed I would work until I had the restaurant at least cleaned and felt comfortable leaving my employees there to finish up for the night .. will not...
