Taqueria Express Mexican Food — Restaurant in Kempner

I’ve been coming here for almost two years and the food is amazing I have nothing bad to say about the food. I’ve never once had bad experience up until Thursday afternoon. I waited in the drive thru lane for over 30 minutes which is absolutely fine I’m not in a hurry, I verbatim order from a note on my phone queso and chips she asked me what size showed me the sizes and I told her I also ordered two corn tacos because I am sensitive to gluten.. I drive all the way back home get inside and realize she gives me a large red salsa and my corn tacos were flour. I decided to deal with the taco mishap but I bring the red salsa back drive all the way back and the woman argues with me saying I said salsa I didn’t say salsa I spent 60+ for the order and I tipped which now I regret even doing for the woman to tell me what I said and I brought up that they didn’t even give me corn tacos and she cuts me off to ask the chef if he made my tacos on corn and he says yes.. WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT THAT. So after going back and fourth she says okay I’ll take care of it. A few minutes later she hands me the queso and tells me it’s 6$…. I said why would I have to pay I had to drive back here you guys mess up my tacos and argue with me on what I ordered now your gonna make me pay that’s unbelievable I told her I’m not coming back again I handed her my card and a few minutes later she hands it back and says it’s ok and I don’t know if she charged me or not since she gave me no receipt but yeah needless to say that’s now how you...

I usually really enjoy this place. But today I paid a lot of money for not very much and not correct food. My daughter called ahead and ordered three small corn in a cup and three individual Barbacoa tacos. She also ordered a cucumber lime aqua Fresca. She gave the place about 10 minutes while she drove there. The price was $45. The cups were less than 12 ounces which seems reasonable for a small but unreasonable for seven dollars that makes the single tacos that were not Barbacoa, but were carne Asada, which we didn't know until they got home; Like six or seven dollars each. It was crazy expensive and the food was good, but there wasn't much of it. And the tacos were not even correct. The person who took the order on the phone did not understand the order. The person who took our order was curt with the girls. And again, the food was not correct. It's an outdoor restaurant and we got takeout so we really didn't have any situation with ambiance. We try to order from here once in a while because it's closed, but I'd rather stop on the way home. I had a place in town if we're gonna get it wrong and it's gonna be super expensive. Just...

We were so excited to be able to get tacos from here this morning. However, finding out the prices have gone up, we were given the wrong change, then argued with when we pointed it out, and the tacos were not like they used to be, we won’t be back. In regards to the wrong change, my husband pulled the cash from the atm right before we went so he gave them 2- $20 bills. The girl taking the orders immediately said no I’m right I put $25 instead of $40 when we asked her about the rest of the change. She then proceeded to roll her eyes, slam the window so hard it popped back open. We were then ignored for over 5 minutes. They refused to check the register and gave themselves an almost $15 tip. If we hadn’t had an appointment to get it in Waco we would have waited around until they got it figured out.
