China Wok — Restaurant in Kendall

Although I have to admit the food is somewhat edible and served in large portions, the management is horrible and almost abusive. People on the bigger side, like me, get horrible looks while ordering.Also, never try to cancel and order, or prepare to be forbidden to order from there ever again. I used to be a regular, since I lived 5 minutes walking distance from the restaurant. One time, I ordered some dinner for me and my family. But when my dad came home with hot food, I decided to cancel the order I had placed not even 5 minutes before, since I knew there was no way my food could have even been cooking. The owner was very upset, almost screaming at me as I continued to apologize. I even said she didn't need to refund my order since I understood it was a hassle. And with that she hung up. A few days later, I call to order. The worker had no problem taking my order, and when I said my address, that's when things got quiet. After a minute or so of me asking the other end of the line if they were there or not, the owner comes on the line. "So Sorry" She'd say. "We don't deliver to that address anymore." Great customer service, the woman was very friendly. You can tell they get a lot of business because it was busy!

Food was 3.5/5. I think they were just really busy, because I saw a large order before us. Good portions for the price, we got dinner combos that come with soup & egg roll, plus entree & rice of your choice.

The entrees could be more flavorful but still very good. I got the beef & broccoli, and my boyfriend got the hot & spicy chicken. He said it could’ve been spicer.

The wonton soup is 5/5, would come back just for the soup! Very few wontons but the flavor of the soup was absolutely divine!

Pork egg rolls were great, crispy and perfect.

Plenty of free parking, large parking lot.

I would come again during the day, as it was towards the end of the day, so I’m sure lunch must be amazing!!

We have been having great meals from China Wok for many months now. They are not the closest to my home be we always order from them. Today I want to take a minute to point out something surprising to me. I LOVE hot mustard and asked for extra. The food came and we were getting set up, but NO Mustard.. ??
