I hope this message goes to the owner or management. I don't think anyone is watching these Google reviews.. Sat. Aug 23 @ 5:49 pm the lady with brown pony tail kept passing me by at the register without acknowledging my existence. Please look at the camera. Would not say hello. That is rude. I was standing there for several minutes and has had a bad attitude in the past like she doesn't care about her job? She's the one that put stuff in the refrigerator on August 16th below and said excuse me so she can put some stuff in the refrigerator. It was not in a nice way. It was like I was in the way. Never smiles with all the days I come here. People should check what they are charged. The banana shake is not 3.50 like in the sign on the counter. Everything is great except that and makes me think I have to check other prices. Also, the Pan con Bistec sign with picture for $6.99 shows french fries and there's no french fries. I told the manager they should change the picture of a fries and she said all places do that where you're not getting what's in the picture. I told her I disagreed it. She also said it comes with the "regular" fries. She meant the skinny small hard potato sticks, which is not as filling. Potato sticks are not the regular fries.. Regular fries is what's on the picture. I told her then they should put a picture of potato sticks on top of those french fries. That sign has been there for months.month ago. Saturday, August 16, in the afternoon around 6:30 pm, for some reason the girl in the front with brown-haired ponytail, putting desserts in the refrigerator and a little attitude. Was not friendly. The blonde skinny one in the front seem to have a small attitude as well. I think they've been working there so long that they feel entitled and they don't have to be friendly with the customers. They should smile more. The ladies in the other section where they serve the food are much more...
Read moreI had never had this experience here before and I wanted to be fair and let it pass, however this involves a risk for everyone else. On 8/18 around 6pm my husband purchased 2 completas (fried rice and tostones, yellow rice and fried boniatos) as well as 2 tamales. Upon getting home, I live like 10mins from there, the fried rice was smelling like acid and one of the tamales was definitely spoiled, the smell and consistency was obviously rotten. I just threw in the trash. But today I felt I needed to let them know because I really don't know what this place does with the left over food, especially tamales that you can easily reheat and resale the next day. So I proceeded to call and asked to speak to a manager. After multiple questions to find out the specific booth or area where my husband had gotten the food the lady apologized, I am sure this is not her fault, she didn't manually spoil the food, but in hospitality and customer service you have to know how to honestly show a customer that you will work towards mending a mistake. She ended up offering me 2 free tamales "just pass by and I'll give them to you". No ma'am I don't want free tamales, what I need from you is to at least tell me you will have your staff check the food you're selling, I would have appreciated more if I had been given reassurance that the food will be checked and made sure it doesn't...
Read moreThis place has changed so much since the days I used to go buy juices by the gallon and avocado and onion salad with lemon juice. On bird road. No air conditioning open and jammed with people.
Now I think itâs a franchise because theyâre all over the city and you can recognize them by their bright yellow and red awnings and painted walls.
Itâs a smorgasbord Cuban style and let me tell you the best one Iâve seen around.
All the staff wear masks not for Covid but for hygienic reason. There is the glass protection for the food against outside germs too. And the display itâs just superb everything looks fresh clean and just set out.
Itâs buffet style but really gives you a sense of home cooked meals. There are clear sections for: meat, sides, chicken and fish, all in a colorful display of food food food.
They also offer their famous juices by the gallon or cup, which are always so delicious. Plus they offer fresh exotic tropical fruit like guanabana, nĂspero, mango, fresh coconuts⌠really just about anything you can think really that you canât find in Publix or whole foods is here.
There is a huge crowd for lunch so get there early there is limited outdoor seating.
Enjoy the little ducks and careful donât run them over in the...
