Rinconcito Latin Cafe Restaurant and Cafeteria — Restaurant in Kendall

My family and I order food from this restaurant at least once a week and the food is very good. Today, I’m sorry to say will be our last order due to the disrespectful nature of the waitress, Mayra, who took my order over the phone. While I was there placing my order I was asked to hold and heard another patron complaining about her order which was wrong. That should have been a sign for me to hang up. I asked for a “grilled Mahi-mahi “ and was told they didn’t have that. I ordered the rest of my families food, including sodas and desserts and was told that everything would be ready in half an hour. My husband went to pick up the food and Mayra informed him that I had called the wrong Latin America. My husband called my sons phone and I was informed of the problem. This is impossible because I only have ONE Latin America listed on my phone so I call and Mayra answers AND I hear my husband’s voice in the background. Mayra tells me that I never placed the order. I became livid! She did not even try to admit to her mistake or even apologize. She just blamed me. How would I know your name if I hadn’t called and placed the order, I asked. “So what do you want to do”, was her reply. Needless to say my husband went home empty handed and we ordered...

I went there today with my wife for breakfast !! . The food was ok !! The home potatoes were soak on oil that will clog your arteries and they put half of pound of butter on the bread that was hardly toasted because they brought the breakfast and forgot to put the toast to work , i guess the realize an rush it with butter that was no even melt . But the worst of it is that there a charger because you didn't pay cash for you to pay the use of your credit card . It's not stipulated anywhere !!! I found this very unprofessional of the owners to reap of every guest that walk in . If you are going to reap off your guests and passing a credit card charger !! You should posted in the door and let your guests know!!! And it's not the dollar or .80 cent you took from me but it's that you're doing this to every guest paying with a Credit Card .This said a lot about how you operate your restaurant . You want to pass your credit card fees to guests . VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OF YOU THE OWNER AND I'M SURE THAT YOU REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR GUESTS . THIS WAS MY LAST TIME GOING TO YOU'RE RESTAURANT . ONE LESS GUESTS AND LITTLE BY LITTLE YOU WILL CONTINUE LOOSING PEOPLE BECAME OF YOUR PATHETIC PRATICE AND UNFORTUNATELY...

This is one local restaurant with one of the best cuban breakfast options. The best "papas de la casa" in town. Had a "bistec con huevo fritos" steak'n'eggs. Added "café con leche y tostada" cuban bread toast and coffee and cream. Simply perfect! And had to do the scarpetta with a piece of bread to clean my savory plate. 🤤 My partner had the classic cuban breakfast special: scrambled eggs with ham (bacon this time), café con leche y tostadas. Delish! Good ambience and service in this clean neat establishment. I have to keep it real and transparent in my reviews so have to admit needing to request changing my cup because of a faded lipstick stain. This is typical of commercial dishwasher. I guess it happens even to good business that strive to serve and provide quality as this one is. I have no doubt they have high standards and this little blemish shall not take away from their great service and quality food and GREAT value ($). I always come back to...
