IHOP — Restaurant in Florida

Tonight 4/25/2024, I was trying to place an order for pick up on the phone while driving down from miami lakes. Ended up having to call 7 times since 8:23pm, because I would be getting hung up righr after listening to the machine before the location picks up. The employee would pick up the phone and hang up without putting a word in. She picked up once and put me on hold before she hung up on me. I finally got to the IHOP in question, 9696 Sunset Dr, Miami, FL 33173, and there was only one car in the parking lot and 1 table with 4 customers. Noone else there. I saw the only employee that was sitting in a booth by herself with the phone in her hand, and while I was still on hold on my phone waiting for her to answer me. She wasn't on a call or doing anything, just sitting there. I advised her that that was me calling to order and she ignored me as she again hung up the phone in front of me with a nasty expression. She kept ignoring me while I was standing there at a distance. She got up from the booth and walked to the back. Whoever is reading this, I want you to understand that I have not said an extra word or anything bad to this lady other then I need her help to order. I didn't think this was really happening. Still standing there, I walked to the front to wait on her to come back and help me order the food. She then came back upfront and asked me if I was going to order or leave. At this point I am in shock. Is this lady for real. I asked how I can reach a manager and she said you can leave or I will call the police to escort you out. Then I said really, wow. What's your name and she said that her name was not important, I need to leave now or the cops will escort you out. I remember when I came in that she had a name tag but she took it off when she came back to the front. This is a shame and now I understand why in this shift there isnt ever anyone in this IHOP. I have drove by on other nights and its always empty. She is trying very hard to close that place down. Please avoid this negative, disrespectful, unprofessional, bad service, and overall horrible human being from making your evening an unpleasant one. You can't threaten to call the cops on a customer that all they wanted to do was order food. That's why companies go out of business, because of bad employees like her that can get a way with that crap. IHOP if you care about your store check the cameras on this lady and what she does to your customers when management isn't around. Never again. I was so looking forward to a cowboy Barbque Burger. What a shame. Never heard of this ever...

Saturday, 11/9/24, 12:45pm visit

THANK GOD FOR MARYJANE! If it weren't for Maryjane, my "review" would be a call to corporate. Maryjane was running the show despite her not being the manager. The restaurant didn't appear to be understaffed, just staffed with some of the wrong people, including the actual manager. We walked in, and there was no host at the front. Okay, fine. But we noticed a man sitting with his back to us at a desk in an office located immediately behind the host counter. He never once budged or bothered to see that we were there. We said to ourselves, "That better be security and not the manager because he is ignoring the heck out of us." Turns out he was the manager. Not only that, but when your serving team has to tell you to get out of the office and onto the dining room floor, that's a problem! Maryjane made sure the manager did his job, and she made sure guests were taken care of. I won't go into detail about our food experience (including 2 hairs on my plate from the cook's head), but let me just say LONG LIVE MARYJANE!! The kitchen team was so bad, Maryjane took it upon herself to make us new food!! My girl! Maryjane was professional, level-headed, took control, gave spectacular service, and despite the chaos and the hairs on my plate, she kept a kind and genuine smile on her face. Give this woman a raise and a promotion! Protect her at all costs! I GUARANTEE that poor 3.5-star review will quickly become 4.5-stars or better if you put...

I wish I could give this 0 stars. So the morning started out great. We ordered food and everyone got food except for my mom and I... we waited 5...10...15 minutes and nothing. Finally a girl waiter comes up and says "your waiter asked me to tell you the smokehouse sausage you ordered was frozen but it will be out soon". I said "wait what? Why didnt you come earlier askr if we wanted somwthing else". Her response.... "don't worry about it, it's coming out soon".... I'm sorry, dont worry about it..... finally the food comes and sausage still cold inside. The cooks inside clearly don't care or know. How cpuld food be frozen for breakfast time. I get a girl to tell me don't worry about it!!!!! And couldn't eat my whole breakfast. Granted, our waiter was nice and gave us a discount but this isn't the first time I go and I'm told something is still frozen. But the cherry on top was when I asked the lady in the front to speak to the manager and was told oh I thought you were fine after getting your breakfast and I told her that no I would like to speak with the manager. 5 minutes later, manager never came out.
