R J's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Kenedy

The burgers here are the best atleast within a hour drive. But the service is terrible usually try and order food 2 hours before close cause ive waited as long as an hour for food and when we call we get ignored one time the lady picked up the phone said hold for just a sec and I waited on the phone for over 15 mins then I just hung up. And after that I still try to eat here cause it's the only good place in kenedy but trying to place a order after 5 30 is no Bueno we call and get repeatedly ignored. Foods great but the service is the worst if you don't want to be open past 5 30 change your hours don't leave people on hold for 20 mins. I've spoken with other locals and just about all of them have dealt with bad or rude service at 1...

This place is only open when they feel like working. I’ve literally gone an hour out of my way for them to only be closed twice in the past two months. Its 5pm on a Wednesday and they advertise they are open till 7, but nope. They aren’t there. I get the small town time schedule. I live in a town of 800. But you close two hours early!! Before dinner?!?! How do y’all stay open? It’s literally one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, but I’m not wasting my time anymore! And they are rude to their customers which I couldn’t care leas about. Just be open and provide the service that you advertise! You can tell they don’t even want to be there. I guess I don’t have a reason to be there either. Never ever again! Seriously...

Large hamburger fries and a soft drink was $11. Kind of expensive for such a small place in a small town but they made the burgers fresh as we waited and it was a very large. It also had great flavor to it! The french fries were fresh also and appear to be made on site from fresh potatoes! The only downside was finding that they did not have Coca-Cola or Pepsi cola at the fountain drink stand after we had already paid for our meal. I don't know if they had it in cans. I didn't bother with the money we paid for them as we were on a scheduled and wanted to continue our travels. But I would definitely recommend this place if you're passing through and are looking for...
