UPDATE: Went back for a second time recently. I don't know exactly what it is about this place but it never feels friendly. This time staff were just going through the motions basically....at least the restaurant part. The bar seems to be the place to go at Sebago...which makes sense I guess. Food is ok, but doesn't live up to the price tag in my opinion. Yeah, things are tough in the food business these days so I often give elevated pricing a slight pass but the pain of paying higher prices could at least be balanced with a more jovial staff experience. Our waitress came by only 1 time early during our meal and then we had to ask another staff member to find her when we were leaving just to get the check. Not professional really. Anyway, my previous review is slightly downgraded on service and atmosphere. The food isn't bad, I just wish the overall experience was a little more upbeat. Welcome to 2024 I guess.
(original review) First time at Sebago. The atmosphere is nice and the service was superb. I ordered the Farmhouse Burger which looked impressive at first glance but was a little disappointed with the actual burger part. Almost reminded me of a frozen, pre-formed 1/4 lb patty (at best) from a grocery store. It wasn't thick or very juicy and was largely overshadowed by the extra thick brioche bun and other standard items (tomato and onion). It wasn't necessarily bad, but for $17.50 I expected a bit more on the meat side....
Read moreI went here for the first time yesterday and was extreamly pleased with the whole thing. From the moment we walked in there was a warm welcome from all employees. The outside patio, through close to the road is actually very nice. It's not loud and you can't really see the cars because of the trees and plants. It was peaceful. Our waitress and other staff were extreamly attentive and helpful. They made sure that we got everything quick and made to perfection. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and the quality you recieve both in service and taste. I will 100% be going there again and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice evening with delicious food for a great price. They brew their own beer and if you have a sweet tooth I can promise the chocolate molten cake is the most amazing thing ever. Its warm and smooth. Very well done all around....
Read moreOrdered the Caesar's salad with steak tips, bloody Mary, spinach and (artichoke ?) dip appetizer to go. Caesar salad came with a side plate of tips maybe 6 or 7 with 3 of them big enough to cut. The others were teeny tiny one bites. Had to ask for another dressing to Have any dressing on my salad. Will say when I did get some it was delicious. Bloody Mary had zero spice and a celery sliver about 3 inches long and rather white. Their food is not great for the price ,view is parking lot of Hannaford,so nothing to offer me and only reason I went was waiting on a z pack from CVS ,starving and decided to try once more after past disappointing meals. Their beer must be great, and if they bottle their caesar dressing...
