El Paso Mexican Grill - Kenner — Restaurant in Kenner

As someone that dined at this location at least 3 times a week since their opening, I sit in sad remorse that I must write this review. I do not think that I have been spoken to in a more condescending manner in a very long time. I placed an order online and after arriving and being totally ignored for about 10 minutes, I asked a busman if he could get someone. A young lady came out and greeted me extremely politely and apologetically. Unfortunately, this was the same young lady that walked passed me at least three times and never once acknowledged me. She check for my order and very nicely said that they don’t have my order. She asked, “did you order online?”. I replied, “yes”. She stated that we have been having problems with our online system for months. Would you like to place an order with me?. I said sure. She said now that lunch is over, I will have to charge you the dinner price. I said that I have a screenshot of my online order and that I should not be penalized for their system. She said you are right. Let me get the manager. I waited another 5 minutes and finally, a guy came and said are you looking for the manager? He is not here and there is nothing that we can do. You can call tomorrow. I said ok fine let me order, as I calmly expressed my frustration. He dismissed me like he could careless. I ended up saying you know what, don’t worry about it and left. I called Casa Garcia where I spent my money. If a business does not have a manager on site, they should empower someone that is knowledgeable about customer service to act upon the long-term best interest of the...

We come here very frequently I never had an experience like this…First we get seated and the waitress comes ask us our drinks which I proceeded to ask if their is any margarita specials since it’s taco Tuesday which she shrugs and says yes we do have margarita specials till 7 but I don’t know what time it is, I look and it’s 6:50 so I said can I get a frozen margarita she said small medium or large so I ordered a large! At the same time we ordered a small queso and our order which I ordered steak fajitas because on Tuesday their is a special she ask if I wanted the social or the menu meal which I told her the special! Not even 5 minutes they bring my fajitas and my sons kids meal, it wasn’t till a few minutes later and us having to ask the the waitress about the margarita and queso we ordered and she said oh I’m going to get that now! Finally 5-10 minutes later she brings my boyfriends meal and the queso and margarita! We ask for the check about 10 minutes later when I notice she charged me full price for the margarita and the steak fajitas where I asked about specials and told her I wanted the fajita special which she goes ohhhh I’ll go see what my manager can do and walked off not even 1 minute later walks back and goes my manager is busy I don’t know what you want me to do?!! Ummm excuse me! She is the one messed up but as a customer I have to pay! I know one thing I will never go back to El Paso! Make sure your employees know the specials you are having the day they work!...

A friend and I paid this location a visit on Monday & decided to sit outside since i was cold indoors. One of the guys brought out some chips and beans and I asked if he could get me a small side of queso. He rudely said my waitress would be with me in a second and proceeded to walk off & go talk with the other employees that were outside seated next to us. The waitress finally came out and said she’d be right with us but told a young guy to come help us instead. We placed our food order along with 2 margaritas. As we were waiting on our food, I noticed the employees were pointing and laughing uncontrollably while periodically looking towards my friend and I. I then realized 2 MICE were running around the deck area. I placed my feet on one of the chairs & immediately alerted the waiter and told him I’d like to cancel my order and he literally had the audacity to ask me why. He sent another young lady to the table to ask why we wanted to cancel our order. (she too was outside laughing at the mice running around). I politely asked her “would you want to eat at a restaurant while mice are running around? Please bring me my check”. They still charged me for my 2 drinks that I refused to drink any further after seeing what I saw. No apology or nothing! Nonetheless, I will never patronize this...
