The Salad Station — Restaurant in Kenner

So after having success at the Metairie location I decided to try the Kenner location because it was closer to me.

After fixing my salad in my own unique way I went to the cash register and sat the bowl on the scale to pay my weight (the price is based on weight so whatever you fix will be weighed at checkout) the server “Kaylin F.” took my bowl of salad from the scale and proceeded to bag it up adding utensils inside the bag. All the while I’m waiting for her to tell me my price she then resets it back on the scale herself. Now I’m not the smartest man in the world but, I know that (bag and utensils) adds on to the weight so, it adds on to the price as well!!!

Baffled, I fought my attempts to let her know I don’t even need the extra bag and utensils but I nixed the urge and proceeded to pay for my salad after finally getting a price. Slowly making my way out the door I noticed she didn’t do the same to the 2 ladies behind me when she rung them up!!!!!!!!! Feeling some type of way now, because I feel as if she deliberately added WEIGHT to my FINAL PRICE for “whatever” reason!

The food was still great though. Everything was fresh and delightful. Be careful not to load too many extras on your salad because you can easily end up with a $20 salad especially if the server adds unnecessary weight to your purchase like “Kaylin F.” did to me and not the women in line behind me. (For whatever reason)

5-stars for food selection negative one star because they force you to use plastic gloves and they have not brought the washable bowls back that were there pre-Covid. It is all going in a landfill. The food:: I can always make a salad at home but I don’t keep the extensive toppings options that they do at salad station. All kinds of cheeses, olives, diced and sliced eggs, raisins, cheese crisps, … at least four kinds of lettuce, kale, cabbage, etc. And if I’m not feeling like salad one day I can usually get soup or sometimes chicken. I forgot to mention the multiple salad dressing options that they have. Tangy salty, spicy they have it… Including olive oil and...

All I can say is trash, they had everything put up, we couldn’t even enjoy their full menu. All of the soups were put up and you can see in these pictures. All of the tables were dirty as you can see in these pictures. It’s more then an hour before they close , as you can see in the pictures . When you ask for a manager , they say he is never here and act like they can’t contact him. Why would they put all the food up before close 😩😩. I’m not sure if the owner or management knows about this , but I won’t be back at this location ever and I suggest you think twice on visiting this...
