Williams Seafood & PoBoy — Restaurant in Kenner

Williams Seafood has a plain, somewhat "corner store" exterior (it is in a strip mall, but not on a corner). The interior is small, and one orders at the front counter. It seems as though about 95% of their business is "to-go" sandwich orders. We sat in the small, yet nicely-decorated dining area, which has a World War II warplane motif, with some New Orleans Saints football tributes. I ordered the Fish & Shrimp Combo Plate, which came with a good salad, fresh French bread, and lots of French fries. The shrimp were plump and there was a big piece of fish (possibly catfish). The batter was lightly seasoned and in no way greasy. My lunch mates shared the Seafood Platter, which had large, meaty oysters, juicy shrimp, good fish, and a tasty soft-shell crab, which they polished off, very quickly. They loved it, and so did I, but my only complaint was that the various sauces and the ketchup didn't taste good. Otherwise, we liked it, would recommend it, and would return. The place is normally good at keeping this place well organized and clean. Their sweet tea is very good. Ive been here a few times when am in the area, and its a good lunch place to stop by and get good fulfilling food. Service is good, the only thing i dont like is if the man is at the front, he tries to rush you through to order. The atmosphere is good normally quiet, the younger lady at the front, is awesome, shes always sweet and brings great service! Their Red beans and rice with sausage is very good, and their cornbread. . Wooow i was surpriced. Plenty of good comfort food! cneck-in While getting my nails done on yesterday I noticed this little seafood restaurant next door. I told my nail tech l've been wanting some good grilled seafood. Didn't do a normal over the phone order. I ordered at the counter. The woman that were taking orders was a ball of delight. Customer Service was magnificent. I ordered the Grilled Catfish & Shrimp Platter w/jambalaya and a size of potato salad. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. I didn't need to add anything extra. The portion size was tremendous. This place come highly recommended. Great for dining in...
