We were hoping this place would outdo their dim sum competitor so we wouldn't have to travel far anymore. I've read other bad reviews and was a little hesitant trying it out. However, it wasn't too bad.

The restaurant wasn't too packed when we came but we still stood at the door for a few minutes without being acknowledged before I decided to go straight to the counter to ask if it was a seat yourself or what kind of deal. It was a wait to be seated ordeal, but of course, the employees only decided to glance quickly at us and carried on. Either way, we sat and quickly ordered.

They serve more than just dim sum. There's also Chinese food and authentic Chinese specials on the board. I noticed some of the Vietnamese translations of the items were wrong, too, but I'm guessing they used Google Translate. You'll still be able to navigate the menu, though, as some do have pictures. They also have large tables with a lazy Susan to have a family style meal. The menu is large enough to have options for everyone.

Everything is made to order. There are no push carts for dim sum, so be prepared for a slightly longer wait time. Overall, the food was ok, mediocre. It's close enough to get you through your dim sum cravings if you live in the Metairie or...

So happy there’s a dim sum spot in Kenner! I went twice, and every time is when they open up for the day. Each time I arrived, they always have a decent amount of people already eating! That’s when you know the place is good...when there’s at least 3-5 tables full of people when the restaurant only opened up for 5 minutes!! The servers are so nice and very respectful. They smile and are patient while you decide what to order. Their menu is pretty big and offers lots of selections. I really love their roast pork buns, shumai, and Chinese broccoli. Do not get their wonton soup. Tasted mediocre like Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, not like the traditional Asian wonton soup (nothing against Campbell’s - it’s just not what I expected when I order from an Asian restaurant). Overall, this is a pretty nice spot to eat some dim sum if you’re on this...

tasty food but 1 star for the awful service. when i walked in the other staff who were on lunch break gawked at us like we're aliens (just a guess, but maybe it was racial profiling), and as soon as my squab order was ready, i noticed the cashier took an unnecessary moment of her time to show the thing to the other employees and they all giggled at it like it's some funny joke (ps squab is a delicacy in their country, so it's weird that they're pretending like they've never seen it before), probably mocked me in their language behind my back too, she didn't even say "you're welcome" when i thanked her for giving me my meal. i'm definitely never ordering from this place again if this misconduct keeps up, and judging by the other 1-star reviews i know this isn't the first time their customers had to put up with their...

Now THIS is a great dim sum place! Although there aren’t any carts being pushed out like at Panda King in Gretna, all of the food was still fresh and tasty. Service was quick with our orders. The inside was clean and had enough seating, in contrast to Dian Xin in New Orleans. My mom and I tried about 8 of their dim sum options. All of them were really good, but I'd personally recommend their Crispy Taro Dumpling with Pork & Shrimp ($5.99), Shrimp Dumplings with Scallops ($8.95), and Salted Egg Buns ($6.99). For the quality of the dishes, I'd say it's worth trying. With pun intended, Yummy House in Kenner is YUMMY! *I do want to note that their dim sum pricing is located on their dim sum sheet instead of the menu, as they base it on sizing. That can be a bit confusing, so I do want to let you guys know that.
