This place has so much potential, but it was practically empty on a Saturday night. They had live music and maybe could have left the doors open so you could be enticed to pay the 10 dollars (or whatever it was) to go in and see them. Also, no waiting on tables. You had to go order food and drink at the bar and have a number at your table. The bartenders were great. They do have a full bar for those of us who don't drink beer. That was a definite plus! I only give it four stars because we had a party of 13 there for a birthday party and half the time someone was running to the bar to order instead of having a waiter. They claim they were a grocery store turned into a brewery, but there's no real signs of it being a grocery store, so I'm not sure what the relevance was. The bathrooms were clean. Food was good bar food. We did have a great time. I think they could wait on tables and maybe brighten it up a bit. The furniture was broken where they had couches but we would go back. Also, to make it a little more family friendly, maybe some more arcade games. That's about it. I was thrilled they served alcohol. Brewery's don't typically do that in...
Read moreTake description "taproom" seriously. Some brewpubs are restaurants that happen to also brew, but this is more of a brewery that happens to also serve food; which is to say the excellent beer is the focus and the food an afterthought.
I've come here before to get a growler or two (again, excellent); but hadn't eaten here. So I deliberately staged a day trip to stop for lunch, thinking the menu would work with our party.
It's hard to say, but some of this may be the general, wide spread lowering of service standards since COVID... But it took quite a bit longer to get pub food than I would have expected, and when it arrived it wasn't really up to snuff quality wise -- especially in light of the prices charged.
While I enjoyed my burger, others in our party thought the pizza and wings were okay (just okay when pressed). While two others in my party had subs and thought the bread to innards ratio was way off from a reasonable range (way to bready).
In contrast, the beer was excellent, served quickly, and well priced for the pour.
My personal takeaway is that this isn't the best place for a full meal, but would probably be great for...
Read moreVISITED NOVEMBER 20, 2024 This was a place we’ve been wanting to tryout for sometime. It was my b-day dinner. Sadly, it was disappointing. Typical bar food and drink. The atmosphere was stagnant. Decor was desperate attempt at cult classic movies but didn’t make any sense in a dark, warehouse setting. Keep in mind, no wait staff walks up to your table. You find a seat on your own and have to walk up towards the bar to order drinks and meals and pay. I did the Attack of the Strawberry Blonde. I am no beer officiando but it was good. Light and slightly sweet. I don’t drink let alone beer but I enjoyed it. What was ordered: BBQ Chix Pizza Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls Mozzarella Sticks with a side order of fries Chix Fajita Salad Don’t get me wrong, the food was alright. But nothing to rave about. I had the salad that must’ve been forgotten because I waited 40 minutes for it after we reminded them about it. By the time I got it everyone else was done eating. And last, definitely not worth the near $100 we spent. Will we go back? Nope! (It wasn’t worth taking...
