The good was excellent! Restaurant had a clean appearance. Wait time was respectable, no more than 20 minutes, if that. Our chef was very entertaining and did a great job. I observed older chef/chefs at other tables not entertaining their guest that much. They didn't get that full hibachi experience people like us enjoy. But again, our chef was great.

The biggest drawback to this restaurant for a future visit was the wait staff and management. They appeared to be very unorganized and didn't communicate well together. Our entire table waited a long time for beverages, and then it took the waitress 2 other visits to remember to get everyone's beverages and onto the table. Literally, a guest from the other family got up and put their drinks on the table. This was due to the poor management and capability of communicating with the wait staff properly. Appetizers came out promptly and correct. The chef came while having apps and starters, and then all went well. In the end, it took a long time to receive our bills. Our entire table noticed and overheard a family with 3 kids waiting for a very long time for their bill and having to verbally express themselves to the waitress.

I would have rated this restaurant 3 stars, but our food and chef made up for the lack of service. I typically wouldn't go back based on service, but the quality and taste will give me motivation to give them a...

I don’t usually review unless it’s a great experience, especially a small business, but today I decided it was time. I’ll try any thing 3 times before it’s a no-go. Tokyo Bay only has 2 strikes and it won’t get a 3rd try. This most recent visit, we walked in and immediately scrunched our noses. It smelled horrible. Like sewer and fish. It wasn’t just a bad smell, is was bad and STRONG. Like the air was thick. One of the kids we came with covered his nose when he hit the first set of doors, then ended up throwing up from it. Then, we all chipped in to clean it up, and the towels were black from how dirty the floors were. That might be where the smell came from. Filthy carpeted fish-floors. We couldn’t stay and eat because of the smell, and we’re all pushovers that will eat anywhere. But not there. Not anymore. The First experience the food was so incredibly bland. The hot things were lukewarm, the cold things were also lukewarm, the sauce that came with the hibachi was… confusing? I dont know what it was supposed to be but that’s usually the best part. Service was slow and the server was distracted with her coworkers but not unkind. We weren’t in a rush so that was fine. But the low quality food and high prices was a turn-off. But i thought maybe I’d give it a second chance since it was a newer place when we first went. But seems like it never got better based on the smell and the...

I understand this is a new restaurant and don't want to hurt them but this is a review of my families experience. The server forgot our drinks multiple times and had to keep reminding her as we watch people get their drinks first who ordered after us. My daughters plate of food was wrong and the server kept arguing with me until she got the manager or owner who took it off the check. The gyoza app we ordered came when we were almost done our meal and I had to tell them to cancel our roll that never came. I watched this happen at multiple groups eating hibachi where the rolls or sushi would come after they finished,at least warn me so I won't order it. The group next to us got the wrong sushi but ate it because they wanted some type of sushi. The hibachi was ok. We noticed they rushed to seat people for hibachi but then you would wait 20 minutes for a server to acknowledge you maybe getting your drink order. I saw a group at the grill across from us leave because they waited to long and still nobody came to get the other 2 groups drink orders for another 10 minutes. I will give this place another chance in months to see if it is better but not anytime soon for the money we spent for the food and service we got. I hope they fix it, it seems like a family run business and would like to...

We finally tried out the new restaurant. It was just 2 of us so we just ate at a table, not the hibachi. It's the same menu, just without the show. They have 10 hibachi tables - including 2 in a private room.. Service was excellent. We were taken to a table and a server came over shortly to ask for our drink order. When the drinks came back it was appetizer time. We got the Japanese spring rolls and miso soup. The spring rolls were nice and crunchy and the miso hit the spot. The Hibachi entrees come with a small house salad, onion soup, steamed or fried rice and veges. Hubby for the chicken and rice and I got the shrimp, scallop, and lobster tail.. Chicken and seafood were good perfectly. A nice addition to the island restaurant scene. Next time I will try the suahi.

Great addition to local food options. We did a dine in table visit, not hibachi but they do have the whole hibachi experience. Lots of hibachi grills so wait times are low but very limited table seating so wait time is a bit longer if not doing the hibachi. I assume that's due to just opening and are probably planning to accommodate more in the future. They do also offer carryout and have a small bar/sushi bar area fits roughly 10-12. For dinner we had sushi items and the hibachi entrees. The mystery sushi roll was amazing and very theatrical served on a flaming plate! The food was on point as far as taste, quality and quantity goes. I will likely be returning many many times in the future for lunch dinner and events.

It's nice to finally have a hibachi option on the island. The food was fine and our waitress (Faith) was pleasant and attentive. I did like the fact that they offered a ginger/peanut sauce for the salad, which was different from other hibachi places. The restaurant isn't cheap though, so expect to drop a good chunk of change if you decide to try it for dinner. The atmosphere was very bright and almost office-esque. They could probably look into buying some more decor.
