My boyfriend Greg of 11 years lives in York Pa. & I currently live in Chester MD. Once a month we have a date night and go out to eat, due to certain circumstances he Arrived late, he was looking for restaurants that were still open he suggested Rams Head Shore House Restaurant and Bar because it was already 9:00 pm And the kitchen for main menu closed at 10 pm but they still serve pizza after ten, anyway we Arrived at 9:15 pm when we walked in it wasn't very busy but it was an early week night, but I was ok with that as long as we ate, I was hungry😂 the server was very friendly with a big smile the whole time, we ordered our food Greg ordered a big ole steak topped with friend breaded onions with broccoli and a nice garden salad, myself on the other hand ordered a cheese steak sub and believe or not a side order of asparagus in place of French fries 😁 everything was so delicious 😋 There was a stage at the far corner and I was surprised to see they had a musician named Justin Ryan performing , his music was so soothing and relaxing playing songs that everyone knows and can sing along , so my Bo is a musician and asked Justin if it was ok to play his harmonica along with him my bo also plays guitar and keyboard anyway Justin agreed and they sounded great together everyone was enjoying it especially Greg and myself P.S. Justin Ryan is a excellent musician & has an amazing voice😊 then near the end of our meal, the General Manager or it could have been the owner came over and asked how everything was which was very thoughtful of course we said we loved the food and we were having an amazing night !! oh I almost forgot we had a piece of the Smith island cake that was offered on the dessert menu , it melted in my mouth we decided this is going to become a regular place for our date night thank you everyone at Rams Head Shore House for making our date night so special❣️

It seems difficult to obtain a good breakfast on the Eastern Shore. I actually liked my Biscuit sandwiches, though the eggs were overdone and under-salted. The potatoes were served room temperature and just okay. My table-mates did not like their eggs benedict at all. The server was very nice, but we waited a long time for our food (about 30 minutes) and a long time to get our checks. There is plenty of parking in a free lot, which is great. It's a tavern, but there were a good amount of tables available and it was clean with good restrooms as well. Rams Head Shore House is not a bad option, but it's not spectacular.

We've been coming to the beer releases every month for about 6 months. We usually end up in the dining room because the bar area is crowded and loud. Dining service has been lack lustre at best. Last night we decided to bite the bullet and eat at the bar. Holy cow what a completely different experience! Cory and her co-tender were amazing. They rocked the bar. Never stopped moving. Never seemed bothered. Kept checking on us and we never had to wait to need something. Amazing! The beer is always good but the Cherry Blossom Lager was exceptional. Crabby tots are by far the best around!

11/3/2022, would give a 1 star rating. The 1 star is for the 2 guy servers that were helpful and kind. My family went here in between viewings. I ordered a burger with a gluten free bun with mashed potatoes. And made sure to state I have a severe gluten allergy. Burger was delivered with a regular bun and we were told it would be "swapped out". I stated the burger would need to be remade, not just a bun swap out. Male server said no problem. 25 minutes later the burger arrived (with fries, and as someone with celiac disease I cannot eat fries that do not come from a dedicated fryer). I told the female server the order was still wrong but that I would eat the burger anyways (at this point my family was done eating and we needed to get back to funeral home). Female server says "well they did have to remake this entree twice". I then kindly asked it be taking off the bill due to such an inconvenience. She then continued to be remarkably nasty in any interaction. Our check was delivered and had many errors, so we also had to wait for that to be fixed. Once she returned correct check, she was slow to return so I kindly walked up and said can you please run this card, we need to get back to the funeral home. She replies "ok I get it, we're just trying to figure out these other checks" (in a very irritated voice). After paying and exiting our area we asked to speak with a manager who was VERY apologetic after learning of our experience. While finishing our discussion with the manager the server sees us and approaches us(after walking away from the table she was currently serving) and basically said "what's going on, if you're talking about me then I deserve to know". My sister stated we were having a conversation with the manager and her manager would report back. The female server then starts raising her voice at us, when finally her manager asked her to leave. It was an awful experience and while eating in between viewings the added stress and attitude from a stranger who obviously hates her job was not necessary. The manager was empathetic towards us and did apologize multiple times. Long story short..lol....pick another place to eat. This place sucks. I will NEVER return. And to Lou Ann D., thank you for making one of the worst days in my life even worse by your unprofessionalism and...

About 20 family members and myself came here tonight for dinner and drinks between funeral services for my grandfather. I've been to all of the other Ram's Head locations and love them too, so I was surprised and happy to find this here. My sister coordinated ahead with management and we secured a private back room with several tables.

The staff was friendly and quick with drinks and appetizers. My little sister has Celiac's disease and gets violently sick if she eats gluten so she mentioned this to the waitress and ordered a burger with mashed potatoes (because the fries are cooked in a communal fryer). Everything came out correct except my sister clearly received a normal bun, so she requested they remake the burger as the original burger would have been contaminated with allergens that would cause her to get sick.

After everyone else finished their meals, we asked again about my sister's burger and were summarily dismissed with "They're making it AGAIN for you" or a similar comment by the waitress. Eventually, the burger came out with french fries from the communal fryer (not mashed potatoes as ordered). She was so hungry that she ate the burger, though when she mentioned the error with the French fries the waitress tried to take her plate away while she was eating. My sister said to forget the mashed potatoes because we were already bound to be late to our grandfather's second viewing. She finished and we asked for the check, but then had to wait for the check to be corrected because it had a number of incorrect items on it. When we finally got it, we paid and tipped 20% and then went to share the experience with a manager.

The manager and the other wait staff were all phenomenal. The manager was very apologetic. But the waitress that made my sister feel like the restaurant's mistakes were her fault was inexcusable. I would go here again but if I was seated in this person's section, I would ask to...
