Cracker Barrel Old Country Store — Restaurant in Kentucky

11-7-24 Last night was the first time at Cracker Barrel that my family and I was treated poorly we arrived there at 6:30 the host stated it would be 5 mins because of the table being cleaned which i totally understood and I also understood that there were a little busy but a party of 5 or so left like 10 mins of my family and I being there so I thought we was up but guess what no it wasn’t there were people coming in behind my family and I going in again I totally understood that they were busy but it started to die down alittle anyway I went back to the host and again she informed me that our table was being cleaned at this point we had been there for over 20 mins so more people came in and got seated right away so I walked back up to the host and she had walked off came back and there was a couple behind me there name was already on the waiting list the host then made a smart remark towards me so she walks backs off and I seen her talking to this girl and she tried to cover her mouth but I still read what she said and the young girl turned looked at me and shook her head no and then pointed at the back of the room telling the host to sit my family and I else where then they walked back up towards me and I said I read your lips and what you said to her and I seen what you said back I then asked for the manager Mr.Tommy I explain what had happened and why my family and I wasn’t being seated because of the waitresses didn’t wanna deal with the babies Mr.Tommy then seated us after my family and I waited almost a hr then our waitress came over took our drink order then try to get us to hurry up and order then when we did order he didn’t ask if we wanted rolls or cornbread and he brought our salads with our food oh and needless to say Mr.Tommy never addressed the situation with the host and the other female so over all it took from 6:30pm when we got there and we didn’t leave until 8pm the waitress waited to put our food order in it was disrespectful and poorly out of all my times eating there never ever been treated like that oh yeah and when you try to call corporate they want to tell you to go to Cracker Barrel.com to report it but there’s no number or nothing anyway there’s more to this story I just wanted to put alittle of it here I would give them no stars if I could but I have to give something to post so there it is and I forgot this as we was walking out a older lady try running after one of the kids thinking they stole something and the kids never touched anything...

Negative first: We have been 6 times to this location and it doesn’t matter if there is only 4 tables seated and 4 waitresses they will still take forever to get your drinks or order to you. It takes them about 8 to 10 minutes to even come to your table after you are seated and another 30 minutes to get your food after you order it. The biscuits and cornbread come out with a meal most of the time too even if you ask for them to be brought out before your meal. And if you do get something to drink before your meal comes out, you will only get that drink and not any refills until they come back to your table to give you your food in about 30 Minutes. I counted 11waiters and waitresses Last week with Only 9 Tables with customers at them, so It does not make any sense to me why people cannot get their drinks refilled or get biscuits and cornbread While waiting on their food. Also if you ask for Apple butter or ketchup or any condiment really when you place your meal you will also have to ask a couple more times even after getting your food to finally get what you ordered. I think they need training to write things down when ppl place their order and make sure it’s on the tray before bringing it to the table so they don’t have to make so many trips back to the kitchen for things they should’ve been brought to the table the first time. *ON A POSITIVE NOTE: when the food finally does come it’s been good every time and the portions are good. THAT is why we keep coming back. Because we make a decision that the food quality is worth the weight we know we are going to have. My husband tried the hashbrowns shepherds pie last week (Mind you, he is a man that has ordered the same two things from Cracker Barrel for the past 17 years) And he finally decided to try something new which was the shepherds pie. It comes out in a very decent size skillet Is loaded with flavor, And he said about 10 times while eating it that it was one of the best things he has ever eaten from Cracker Barrel. He does not even take home leftovers but did that time. My son got the Cracker Barrel sampler with meatloaf, homestyle boneless chicken breast, Loaded, mashed potatoes and home fries And he said it was good and fresh. And I got the pot roast with a side of Dumplings and everything was great! I do definitely recommend coming and eating at this location So long as you are not...

Yesterday 1/31 at 1:15 we went to Cracker Barrel in Franklin, Ky. We were seated right away but, waited 15 minutes for a server. There was only 12 customers in the restaurant. We ordered drinks 3 (unsweet) teas. I ordered the Old Timers Breakfast eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns, whole grain toast. My husband ordered Fried chicken, steak fries and fried apples. My daughter ordered Maple bacon chicken with steak fries and mac n' cheese. At 2:00 we still did not have our food. My husband dropped his fork and asked for another .Finally at 2:10 our food came out. OMG!!!!!!!!My eggs were 2 overcooked dried out, rubbery, cold disks. My bacon was undercooked and slimy. No toast or hash browns. My daughters chicken was overcooked and so was her bacon. Just burnt strips of black and her mac n' cheese was burnt disks of something that did not even look edible. Scraped from the bottom of a burnt pan!!! We sat and waited for another 10 minutes and finally I asked another server for the manager Our server was no where in sight!. It is now 2:30 and a manager finally came. She said she was sorry and would get us new food .My husband asked 2 other servers for honey. Never got it.. We were out of drinks an hour before. Finally at 2:55 food came from the kitchen. My daughter did not get any bacon for her chicken and the chicken was exactly like the first order. We believe it was!!!!! I never got hash browns or toast. Then at 3:00 our waitress appeared. I told her I never got my hash browns or toast and we so needed so much to drink. She came back to fill the drinks (with sweet tea). Which we cannot drink!!!!!!!!!!! No hash browns ever came and 2 pieces of black cold hard toast on a plate. Then, my husband got his fork!!!!!!! The waitress told us sorry about the toast the toaster is really slow!!!!!!! 2 hours for toast!!!!!!!! I guess it is SLOW!!!! The waitress was very RUDE and wanted to be anywhere but there. We have NEVER EVER been served food this disgusting!!! Funny the cashier asked us if everything was good and we told her NO IT WAS NOT!!! She could care less. We paid for that mess and left hungry and angry!!!!! We will NEVER set foot in that restaurant again. Shame on Cracker...
