Sol Azteca — Restaurant in Kentucky

While out with My 2 Daughters We decided to try this Mexican Restaurant as I had been sorely disappointed with a Portland, TN Mexican Restaurant that shall remain Nameless!

I was willing to try another though, not willing to believe this One would also be The Great Disappointment, and to My Surprise and Delight SOL AZTECA certainly was NOT!

The Servers were Kind and very Attentive to our Wants / Needs, were ALWAYS smiling, and very Courteous! The Decor very colorful Music was just the right volume as We dined, and It was one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever eaten at in My Life.

Service was on point, and Our Waiter was very Patient allowing My Daughters and I Time to decide what to Order.

When We were finally ready to Order I ordered Sopa Azteca and Potato Stuffed Enchiladas. MUY DELICISIO!

The Broth was Very Tasty, Clear, not Oily, and had a nice Yellow tint to It. The Avocado slices mixed with diced Chicken was a Great contrast in Flavors and Textures that meshed very well together.

My Daughters ordered a Chicken Burrito and Steak Burrito plates which They thoroughly enjoyed, and raved about how Well Seasoned and full of Flavor Their Entrees were.

The Steak was not tough (very easy on the teeth), and didn't require much chewing as It practically melted in Your Mouth.

My Daughters and I can't wait to visit SOL AZTECA again, and HIGHLY recommend It to...

The costumer service was horrible. When we got to the drive thru window there was nobody there to take our order, we had to go get somebody from the inside to go to the window. Once we got somebody at the drive thru window, we told them what we wanted very clearly, and somehow the woman attending still got it wrong when she was jotting it down, we had to correct her before paying for it. Then once we payed for our overpriced food, we were told to park and wait for it. That is when my opinion of the restaurant went downhill. We waited for more than 40 minutes without any food or drinks until my father went in to ask for our food as we were now angry and irritated. We waited a little more and then we finally got our food. We thought that’s where the nightmare would end but no, they still got our order wrong even after we corrected them. We paid $80+ and they gave us 10 tacos out of the 21 we ordered. I could not believe we really waited almost an hour for not even half our order. We then had to wait another long time for them to make the other tacos we were missing, and after over an hour, we were finally able to leave with mediocre overpriced food and a...

We ate here yesterday on our way home from Florida. We picked it because we stayed in the next door hotel. The staff are friendly, welcoming, prompt, and efficient. Great service. The food was also very good. I had the Pollo Loco and the chicken was excellently cooked, so tender, and sauce was delicious and just right for me, a low spice eater. My husband had steak fajitas, also well prepared and generous amount of the steak to vegetables.

Very pretty murals on the wall, the atmosphere was welcoming and colorful. The background music was very appealing and toe-tapping. My favorite part was the way the servers, as they returned to the back of the restaurant would sing along with some of the songs.

Part of our family just moved to FL, this hotel and this Sol Azteca may become our favorite stopover on return...
