It was our first time visiting, and we wasn't that impressed. We was actually pretty excited about trying this place after hearing a lot of good reviews about it from family and friends, but we didn't have that great of an experience. We walked in, we was greeted, but had to wait for them to clean a table before we could be seated, no big deal. As soon as we sat down, we waited almost 10 minutes before we got a menu after watching a server walk towards us then turn around to help another couple that was seated after us. They got their drinks, as we waited...finally we got menus, then a kid came to take our order, he talked so softly, we could barely hear him, not to mention other tables around us were being super loud, but he kind of acted like he was scared to talk to us. Keep in mind, there wasn't that many people in here, and there was servers just standing around. We place our drink order, and waited another 5 minutes before he came back to the table. We ordered our appetizers and food at the same time...but we did get the chips and salsa as we waited, unfortunately the chips were stale, but the salsa was pretty good. The appetizers came out, we got the fried pickles that tasted like they came out of a box, and mozzarella sticks were not horrible, but they taste like freezer burnt as well as the pickles. Our food finally came, my husband got the Supreme, he wasn't that impressed. My mom and I ordered the king, I have to be honest...it was actually pretty good. It helped with the bad experience, but still sadly disappointed about our first visit being so bad. I have to say, us returning...will be very slim.
**Also people, have respect for other restaurant visitors. I get that your going to see people you know/family out in public but when your at a restaurant, stay at your table or ask to join tables with them. Don't just stand around their table, blocking the walk ways...it's rude, and...
Read moreIf you are traveling I-65 and looking for a great place to eat, THIS IS IT. We live in the area and are so excited to have this new restaurant nearby. The food is excellent Mexican/American food. Mostly Mexican, but I think they may have plans to expand the menu. They have Beef Stroganoff on there at this time. So far, everything we have tried has been DELICIOUS. The meat in the taco salad is seasoned and has delicious flavor on its own; but paired with the rest of the salad, it's over the top. There are two taco salads - one with ground beef, one with steak. Both are incredibly delicious. So often at other restaurants, the meat has no taste and the only things that saves the taco salad are the other layers and ingredients. Not here. The meat is delicious by itself. My husband orders the tacos and loves them. And the salsa? It really is homemade salsa and is the best I have ever had anywhere in my whole life. It's not that ordinary salsa that looks like it was dumped out of a can and has no flavor. This salsa is THE BEST. Our other Mexican restaurants here pale in comparison to the food here. Look for this restaurant on the side of the American Legion Building. It is very clean and smells good. The owners are so friendly and nice to us. I realize everyone's taste is different; but please know that we've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years. This one knocks it out of the park on flavor. We hope you love it as much as we do. We are so happy to give it a much-earned...
