We were seated and someone had brought their infant, that's the first thing I noticed personally. Despite all of the crying and screaming I've come to understand and expect as a father myself, the hostess kept seating older people in the same section. When our waiter came to the table he wouldn't speak above one to two word sentences despite my entire family including myself being congenial.
The food came out very fast, faster than I myself was expecting up to this point. I got a steak wet burrito with a side of their Carolina Reaper salsa, my daughter got the chicken nuggets and smiley face potatoes. My fiance got the taco salad.
Now here's my real first point of contention, because we've bought the exact same thing for my daughter in the frozen food section. Something that costs $1-2 if you go to the store. My second would have to be that two or so pieces of the steak in my burrito hadn't been trimmed and had ends that had clumps of connective tissue, the meat itself was very tough and chewy.
Despite all of this however, the overall experience was nice. The food was good, the portion sizes (for the meals that didn't come from the microwave) were such that my fiancé and I had to get boxes for our entrees. The carolina reaper salsa WAS delicious, but very habenero forward, as I'm sure they're cheaper.
If you've been on the fence about coming in, like we had for a while, give it a try. The menu is big and accommodating to varying tastes, and every time we've passed by the parking lot it's always packed. Just from my own personal experience I wouldn't mind stopping in again some time, I just...

We clearly have a newer waitress because she had to go to the back to ask a few questions for us when we were trying to place our orders. Either way, I get my food and it’s the wrong meal. No big deal. I’m not mad since I ate my weight in chips and salsa a few minutes ago. I tell her the order was incorrect for me so she brings it around the corner, talks to someone then brings it back to me and says half of it is right so if I could eat some of it then they’ll make the rest of it and bring it out separately. No problem. I started to cut into it and realized the whole thing was wrong so I mentioned that none of it was what I asked for. She then tells me……I CAN REFUSE SERVICE TO YOU BECAUSE YOU’RE BEING RUDE.
Say what!?! 😲😲😲 I’m stunned…… Flipping STUNNED. How am I being rude for expecting the meal I asked for? I did not raise my voice, I didn’t demean her for making the mistake, I didn’t swear, nothing. I just asked for the right meal, that was it.
Meanwhile, the whole table is done with their meal so I just let it go and say I don’t need anything. At this point, I’m sure this girl was going to spit in my food or something.
I worked retail management for 7+ years. I was in charge of GUEST EXPERIENCE for God’s sake. I know how to interact with people and if she wants to refuse service because of HER MISTAKE, she literally has never seen rude behavior before and she’ll be in for a rude awakening when someone truly is rude to her.
I still want steak enchiladas...
Read moreI will start with we have been there twice and enjoyed the food very much. Our issue is that the service is just not good unfortunately.
First time took awhile before we had a waiter, they didn’t write anything down and had to repeat what we wanted. Wanted to order another thing but didn’t want to add more to them remembering. In the end food came out well but they had to come back while typing it in. Just write it down I don’t understand
Second time we had a younger waitress. Started off good. Got drinks and chips and salsa. We ate the chips very fast I will admit. We ordered the cheese dip and premium salsa and our entrees. We were out of chips for the cheese and second salsa which she said she would bring but she never came back. 10 minutes went by and our entrees came out and she asked if we needed anything. We politely asked for more chips still for thr cheese and second salsa we still had. She wasn’t very friendly at all and never said anything about forgetting them the first time. She never came out again to ask for refills at all. We went all dinner with just thr one drink til we were all done and ready for check. They were not busy either and the waitress was by the hostess stand most the time. Unfortunately they just can’t get the basic of regular customer service. Not expecting anything over the top by any means and feel bad for complaining but not asking for much. We still tipped 20% but usually we are better tippers for average service and up. This was...
