Mmm….it’s a no from me y’all. Atmosphere is nice but not welcoming at all. I approached 2 dirty tables before I finally seated myself after initially approaching the counter. I wasn’t welcomed into the restaurant the server assumed I was just there for a take out, ok no…may I dine in I asked? Sure have a seat wherever. I sat down and opened a menu that was just barely handed to me and the server asked what I’d like to drink. She then immediately asked for my dinner order…I asked if they had Angel hair pasta and she stated no. I then said I will need a few minutes. She came back and I ordered the baked eggplant. She immediately returned with a very nice hot and seasoned roll that I cut open and placed my butter Pat inside of to melt and left it to wait for my main course. My server delivered my main course then tried to take my roll away from the table….I said no ma’am I want that. The eggplant came with spaghetti….their spaghetti is a thin spaghetti so that was quite acceptable and was perfectly cooked. The sauce was very good but there was something off with my eggplant….it tasted….stale? Like it had been frozen too long? I can’t quite pinpoint it all. My server never returned to my table to inquire additional needs or if everything was ok. I left the plate after a few bites and waited, I then got up and went to the counter to pay, after seeing other patrons have their payments taken at the table by a different server. Let me say….I probably won’t go back, service was sub par and the eggplant wasn’t great. Server needs training for sure. My meal could have been addressed immediately if there was communication…..she had none and wanted none. Sorry, fail from me and I am disappointed after seeing...
Read moreI’ve tried this place twice. I really love their garlic bread rolls and the Italian dressing they have is delicious. The first time I tried the chicken parmigiana. I found the marinara sauce to be too sweet and watery for my taste. This time I tried the tortellini alfredo with chicken. I found the sauce to be a bit watery and the whole plate could’ve benefited from some garlic and fresh parmesan. When I would take a bite of the bread with a bite of pasta it would form the perfect bite. However, I did not like the chicken in my pasta at all. I wish I would’ve left it out. It was flavorless and seemed undercooked. All in all this place has great potential, decent prices, great portions and a friendly staff. I will probably keep coming and trying new dishes until I find the one for me. 😊 Edit: I expressed my concern about the chicken and was just told it was a fresh and they had just cooked it 🤷🏻♀️ The waitress took the chicken off my check even though I said it wasn’t necessary. I think the boss could’ve handled the situation better. I didn’t say it wasn’t fresh, I just said it wasn’t...
Read moreI've never been to Italy, so i can't speak to how "authentic" the Italian food is at Roma's. I can however tell you this. Roma's beats the brakes off of Olive Garden. Not even close. In my opinion, Roma's is a bright spot in Kermit as compared to the other eateries in Kermit. The other choices are Mexican food or Mexican food. Gets old after awhile. With that said, there are a couple places that are really good. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo at Roma's is stellar. It's simply wonderful. The portion provided is enough for two meals for mere mortals. My buddy always gets the spaghetti and meatballs with a side of meatballs and he rarely gets anything else. When we stray from our personal favorites, the Chicken Murphy is a solid 1B choice. The bread knots served with the pasta dishes are also wonderful. The staff is always focused on making sure you enjoyed your meal and I've never seen them without a smile. Not once. I've never tried the pizza or any other dishes other than what...
