Amazing apps, good steaks, all around solid spot! I came here for a work dinner the other night. We were a party of 15 and although originally intended to sit inside, one of the hosts let us know there was a spot outside that would be available sooner. They have an extensive wine menu as well as plenty of beers and a standard cocktail menu. Not a huge deal at all, but I do wish they had some N/A / mocktail offerings, a lot of places are expanding in that area and I think it would be nice if Outwest did too! I settled for a diet coke though while everyone else mostly had beers and old-fashioneds. One person did get a blue motorcycle which looked pretty interesting. For apps, we ordered just about "one of each" (my foodie dream come true) - the prime rib sliders, crab dip, filet medallions, blackened shrimp, mushrooms, and we even went for the lamb entree (as a starter!). I also had a bowl of the French onion soup. App-wise...all delicious! Filet medallions were cooked and seasoned perfectly (also made me excited for my entree because I had arrived set on a surf+turf), the blackened shrimp and avocado salsa hit the spot. The prime rib sliders...so so good (meat was super tender and juicy, the au jus was just a bonus), and even though I'm not big on mushrooms, they were fantastic as well. I don't have lamb often, but when I do, it normally does not disappoint, and this was no exception. It was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. The bread and butter were good too - piping hot rolls and a slightly softened/whipped butter. And we haven't even hit the main course! Pretty much everyone ordered a filet/prime rib and lobster tail. I also ordered the stuffed tomatoes as a premium side. I only requested the 7oz cut but barely made a dent in it after sampling all of the apps. My filet was delicious, cooked medium, and the lobster tail was huge - a lot larger than I had been expecting. I will say flavor wise, nothing compares to a fresh Maine lobster, but this serving certainly compensated in size for what it lacked in that special Maine touch! And finally for dessert - their special was apple cobbler cheesecake. As enticing as that was though (and plenty of others did order it), I went with the oreo crumb cheesecake and was very content with that decision. Only made it about 3 bites in before asking for a box! To make a long review short, this was a great spot for a teambuilding dinner and I would definitely recommend it for a similar function. I'd come on my own dime, but I definitely wouldn't be ordering as extensively-ha! Service was great, friendly, and very hospitable. Glasses were never empty and it seemed that dishes were being served continuously!

The OutWest Steakhouse Experience (Dine-in Edition). I have passed OutWest on my travels several times and wanted to try them out. A friend and I went for dinner, and we ordered the crab dip as a starter (oven-baked blue lump crab dip with spinach, tomatoes, cream cheese, and toasted pita points). I also ordered a margarita. For my meal, I ordered the Grilled Fillet of Salmon made with orange curry sauce, West rice, and grilled asparagus. However, I substituted the curry sauce for the honey chipotle bourbon glaze, the rice for the sautéed white mushrooms with fresh garlic and burgundy wine, and the asparagus for Caesar salad with romaine hearts tossed with a traditional Caesar dressing, shaved Romano cheese and seasoned croutons. While waiting for my food, I went to the restroom, which appeared clean during my visit. I also took in the ambiance of the restaurant. I couldn't believe Kernersville had an eatery at this scale. Nevertheless, upon returning to the table, I received my drink and, soon later, the dip. Not too soon after finishing the crab dip, my salad and meal came to the table. The food was good. However, I wish the glaze was on my salmon while cooking. The consistency of a glaze typically changes when heat is applied. Nevertheless, service was decent and flowing throughout the duration at the restaurant. So, would I return? Yes, I would return to OutWest. My meal and the service were good. Having this dining experience, I know how to place my order the next time I dine there. For example, I want my glaze added to my salmon while cooking instead of on the side. Although I love mushrooms, I would like to try something different. However, all in all, I was pleased.

So will not recommend this place to no one, will give this place a 0 if I could! Customer service is horrible, and from what I heard the food is just served any kind of way! I went up there to ask to speak to Christina and/or Mike to see , why were they so nasty to my guest who was my mom coming to visit my family in here in Kernersville! I was the one who recommended here to go to the steak house instead of going to a fish place because she wanted a good bake potato! Long story short Mike the owner and Christina was not there on that Sunday! And I spoke with Mike who asked me to give him a copy of the video, leading to that he had shook my hand and said yeah I see where things went wrong with her waiting not putting the right things on her bag and serving cold food especially how hard that bread was! I am big on people word and customer service, he said he will call her and never did! So on this day I gave a call to him saying hey I never heard anything about you calling my mom to apologize like you said! Mike then says hey we are not going to engage, so I said wow should have figured you guys would lie! So now I am letting you guys know spend your money somewhere that appreciate you as an customer and handle situations right when they did wrong! I have a video of Mike and I conversation saying that he will call my mom and even took her name and number down, but it will not let me attach it. I thought we had an good conversation, and he sound like he was very understanding, but I guess not! Definitely will continue driving to Winston- Salem or Greensboro for my steakhouses, treat you well and fix your food beautifully!

I ordered online at this establishment -Out West at 7:12p.m. Arrived at 8:19p.m. to get my food at curbside. I paid $62 and some change then I had to call twice to get my meal to come to the curbside because there was no instructions on where curbside pick up was. Arrived home all the food I ordered was cold, except for the salad which was supposed to be cold. My bread was so hard that my dog would not eat it. Then I called the manager twice she had the audacity to say, her name is Christina, ma’am I’m trying to be nice to you. I wasn’t being rude. However I was upset because spending that kind of money on the meal and not even having a napkin steak sauce or eating utensils I didn’t get! When I asked her about all of these things, she said to me, the bread is complementary. And we don’t offer eating utensils because we can’t offer to give it to everybody. Ma’am, if you were here, I will try to rectify it, but I can’t. I said well, my money, you know percentage back something no and she sounded as if she was smirking while she was saying that. I asked for a loaded baked potato, which I paid extra, for I asked for sautéed broccoli the broccoli looked like it was boiled and butter put on it. I am disgusted! This is my first experience at this steak place, and this will be my last period. The end result of my complaint was while she smirked and talked, was, she’ll speak with the owner tomorrow and have him to get back with me. I’m not hungry any longer. I would never ever recommend this place as well as order from there again.

Absolutely delicious! I don't usually eat at pricey restaurants, so I suffered a little bit of sticker shock, but the price matches the quality. We also have a running joke in my family about how much ambiance costs (we've settled on $2/lb) and the atmosphere here is beautiful. I mean, I took a picture of the ceiling. Definitely worth at least $3-$4 per pound here 😅 We had onion ribbons for our appetizer. It comes with a horseradish ranch, so we swapped that out for regular ranch. Our server recommended the half size order, which was still bigger than the two of us needed with a full meal coming. We were glad she recommended the smaller size. I ordered ribeye steak, sweet potato, broccoli and peppers. I won't go into more details, but I ate every bite - delicious. My husband's mouth was watering over the shrimp pasta special, but we were one table too late! He ordered the filet and lobster instead with salad and broccoli. The lobster was amazing! He wasn't a fan of the filet (it was cooked perfectly, just found out it's not his favorite cut) but our server quickly switched it out for a different cut. I couldn't resist the creme brulee and fancy coffee... A little sad that it's inappropriate to lick my plate at a restaurant. So yummy! The server was Kristen, but I suspect all the servers are equally amazing. We also spoke to the manager, Christina. The entire team is impressive. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal and overall experience.

Hard to get good bread, first basket was cold and hard. Second basket was better. Wanted more with dinner but kept getting told " it was in the oven". After everyone finished eating & we were about to leave they decided they had bread. We were told the batch before had burned. I ordered crab soup as an appetizer. Soup was good but lacking. Needed more crab & veggies. Would have preferred a creamy soup but this one was not creamy. There were 2 tiny pieces of burnt toast served with the soup. The steaks were very very good. Very well cooked & seasoned. I ordered stuffed tomatoes as a side. They were stuffed with a cheese spinach mixture, then roasted. It was very very good as well. I also ordered jimica slaw, very good but small portion. They are very proud of their food as not much is under $25.00. They only have 3 burgers available and none of those is a regular cheeseburger. My daughter ordered a side of French fries with her order, we asked about 4 times for them. FINALLY after everyone had finished eating they brought out a sad little plate of French fries. Over all the food is good but not worth the prices.
