My daughter asked to have her birthday dinner here on 11/24/2021upon arriving the smells illuminating the air were wonderful! We were all very excited to try El Rancho Grande for the 1st time ( we had ben told from other to try it).upon being seated my mother went to the gentlemen whom was greeting people at the door and told him it was his granddaughters birthday and would they sing to her? He assured her YES! Myself and my mother ordered cocktails my daughters sodas. We ordered appetizers and put in our order for dinner. ( I ordered Chimichanga dinner, w/ refried beans instead of black beans, my mother ordered a burrito meal, my daughter ordered 4 enchiladas ( beef, chicken, cheese and chorizo?, my other daughter whom birthday it was just ordered 2 enchilada dinner) Food arrived very promptly. Food was decent no real wow factor but it wasn't bad. Again my mother got the attention of the same gentlemen like hey were about to finish our dinner ( in secretly to surprise my daughter) would you please sing to her. He said yes i told your waiter, i will again. we finished our food I pulled aside another waiter liek he, weve asked 2x could you please do this and sing happy birthday to her. ( i ordered a kids meal to go as well as a burrito meal to go, and desert fried ice-cream for both girls in hopes that would extend the time so they would sing to her) Mind you we had asked 3x at that point. desert was finished, very disappointed Togo order came. again while we were waiting on our bill my mother said hello?????? we have asked several times why haven't you sang to her? They just shrugged their shoulders. We received our bill totally 160 dollars and we left a 30 dollar tip, so I spent almost 200 dollars in this establishment and they would NOT SING MY 13 YEAR OLD HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON HER BIRTHDAY. ( mind you we saw them sing hbd to another guest, and they were not busy!) Very disappointed, Rather highly priced for Mexican food as well. No big wow factor to accommodate the high prices. Would NOT recommend. Even spoke to someone upon leaving about how disappointed we were he could of...
Read moreI drove 20 minutes to this location. I am on a diet so I only ordered two tacos. I got my receipt when I was done that totaled $4.28. I gave them my debit card to pay it and when I got the receipt back it said $13.68. I got their attention and showed them that this was way wrong, the manager came over and tried convincing me that this was correct. They had handed me six receipts and I'm not even joking. I explained to them that they are out of their minds that two tacos on Taco Tuesday at $2 a piece do not equal $13.68. Both the manager and the waitress again try to convince me that this was correct. I wanted up the receipt and asked them if they speak English okay. They said yes so I reiterated that two tacos at $2 each equals $4 do they understand? They tried to arguing with me some more, I got very frustrated and more or less spelled it out for them that two plus two equals four dollars. They then hand me a receipt for $4.28. I signed that receipt and leave no tip considering a scene was made and everybody was staring at this very embarrassing moment. I drove all the way home and looked at my bank account and realized that they charged me $13.68. I then drove furiously back the 20 minutes to them and ask for the manager, he tried not to come out so I walked into the kitchen to locate him and confront him and showed him my app reflecting the $13.68 that was taken from my account for the two tacos. He walks me out front to the cash register and hands me the exact same change back down to the penny offering no apology no extra refund or even compensation for the simple two tacos that i ate. they are cheap skate scam con artist & i will NOT be...
Read moreTo begin with, service and restaurant management in general were poor the entire 90 minutes we were in the restaurant. I ordered a taco loco salad but it turns out, this isn’t a salad at all. It’s really a boat of meat with 3 tomatoes and 4 pieces of zucchini. When I pointed it out to the server, waiter, and manager that this should be a salad because it was in the salad section of the menu, they all insisted that I was wrong. The manager offered to make me a taco salad but I wasn’t willing to wait another 30 minutes to get there and I wasn’t fond of the taco salad to begin with. We only received four sets of silverware for a table of six. After asking twice for that silverware we ended up getting up and getting it our self. The waiter never asked to refill my cup of water until we were getting ready to leave. Once we receive the bill without any reduction for the inconveniences I gave the waiter a coupon which wasn’t taken off of my bill. After waiting another 15 minutes for someone to figure out what to do with my five dollar coupon they ended up just giving me five dollars cash. After all of the issues with dinner and poor service, no one ever apologized for any of the problems or any inconvenience. Needless to say, we won’t be returning...
