If I could give zero stars, I would. This might be the worst Wendy’s on planet Earth—and I’ve seen some things.
My friend and I pulled into the parking lot around 1:30 p.m., only to be greeted by two employees hanging out by the dumpster, mid-smoke break. Classy start.
Inside? No line, just one customer ahead of us. Easy, right? Nope. We stood there for nearly 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence. Three employees were clearly working on food and drive-thru orders, but apparently making eye contact with the front counter was not in their job description.
While waiting, we had front-row seats to a live episode of "Health Code Violations: The Musical."
A trash can overflowing in front of the fry station, complete with flies.
French fries scattered all over the floor like edible confetti.
A busted Frosty machine with wires hanging out like it was auditioning for a horror movie.
The soda area? Sticky. Covered in trash. No ice. Lids everywhere but where they belong.
We got our drinks—lukewarm, of course—and sat down to wait. And wait. And... wait. Thirty minutes passed before our food finally arrived. In the meantime, we watched several customers come in, stand around looking confused and annoyed, then just leave. Can't blame 'em.
When we finally left, those same two employees were still smoking by the dumpster. Either they clocked in for a shift called “stand around and vibe,” or they live there now.
Oh, and this wasn’t even my first bad experience at this location—it was just the sequel. Spoiler alert: it’s worse than the original.
Unless you’re craving disappointment and have a free hour to waste, I’d...
Read moreI have been to this location a few times (maybe three total) since moving to Dayton, and two out of three visits were unsuccessful. The first visit was a few months ago. I had tried to go there around 4-5 o'clock and was told they couldn't make food for 15 minutes due to a shift change. I left because I did not want to wait 15 minutes just to order. My next visit was tonight. I went to this location at about 11:30 pm. I was aware that they closed at 12, and I was prepared with my order because I would not have wanted to inconvenience them. However, I waited at the speaker for 5 minutes, said hello multiple times, and was not greeted at all. I then drove around to the window because I thought maybe their speaker was broken, but I instead saw someone in a hat walk into the lobby area away from the kitchen. I went back around to the speaker because I was craving Wendy's tonight, but again was not greeted. After I left, I checked the Wendy's app, thinking maybe the closing time on Google was outdated, but it was not. Getting Wendy's at 11:30 at night is not that serious, but as an employee who has worked in food service for years, I thought this to be extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and ridiculous. If a restaurant is open for business for another thirty minutes, and it is a fast food restaurant, there is no reason a customer shouldn't be...
Read moreI decided to head to Wendy's because of a T-Mobile promotion. Upon arrival my daughter mentioned "free spicy nuggets!"Pulled up there was exactly an advertisement at the window for "free spicy nuggets!" I pulled up at the drive-thru, the employee asked to take my order. I referred to the advertisement on the window. Her reply "I have no idea what you're talking about?! 🙄. Seriously. My daughter chimed in, ummmm clearly there is a sign on the window in regards to spicy nuggets. The worker replied again. "I have no idea what you're talking about?"Ok, so you work at Wendy's and unaware of outside advertisement. Okay. Like seriously. I continue with my order. I felt as though I was being rushed at the drive thru speaker. I would state the order and immediately felt being rush. This is exactly my point where you have under paid workers, they don't give a care about customer's needs and wants. This employee that worked at this drive thru needs to be in the back flipping hamburger meat because clearly customer service is not for her. Very disappointing in this Wendy's on this nice side of town. They should be ashamed, with they're nasty spicy (not fresh) chicken sandwich. I will not be returning at this Wendy's location in history!. FOLK'S BEWARE! P.s..I should have went to Popeyes for a...
