La Gondola Spaghetti House — Restaurant in Kewanee

1st of all I walked in very happy and excited to have a good bowl of meaty spaghetti 🍝 the reviews where ok so I was looking forward to it, I explained to the cashier it was my 1st time in the restaurant since we just relocated here as a single parent im a go for everyday specials or daily specials I don’t care if you judge me but anyway I asked for #5 a spaghetti that was $8.99 and the girl asked what dressing did I want I assumed it came with a side salad so I said French well I was charged $12.29 and my daughter asked for #7 it was priced at $9.69 and again the girl asked what dressing so my daughter said ranch and my other daughter asked for pizza bread and we had 3 regular drinks well the total was over $46.00 which to me was pricey for the food portions but besides that when the order came out my spaghetti had meatballs so I go over and say excuse me I didn’t ask for meatballs I just wanted the regular spaghetti 🍝 so she took my receipt and took out the meatballs from my plate and gave me my spaghetti and I asked what about the price difference she said hold on then the other lady I don’t know if it was the manager or not but she said no she was charged correctly I had just gave her the meatballs extra well thank you but no thank you I didn’t ask for meatballs and there is a price difference but she said no and kept my receipt I’m very disappointed and upset at the whole situation and probably won’t be coming back here again!!!! Service:

The service is always terrible whether you eat in or order to go. I order the EXACT same thing every time I go so there is no confusion on what I want. Just the other day my Husband and I went through the drive through. Our orders have been wrong in the past so I made sure to check the food before we left since we don't live in town. Shockingly out of the 5 things we ordered one was completely wrong and three of the items were of the wrong quantity. We were at the window and the girl came over. We explained that we didn't order the item and we would like what we actually ordered. She proceeded to tell us THREE times we were wrong and we ordered what we were given. We know what we ordered and how often do you order the wrong thing at a restaurant? Especially when you order the same thing everytime? Never. Everyone who works here is unprofessional and rude. Although she did fix our order she did it with a huge attitude. Maybe thats to be expected considering everythime we've gone the body language they display says were inconveniencing them.

It has been some time, over a year, since the last time I was here. I was not impressed then. It has not changed. I do like their food. Horrible customer service. When the employee came to the front counter she didn't say Hi, Welcome, What can I get you, NOTHING, so I just started to tell her my order. Still not a word. We went to sit down and all but one table was dirty so I wiped ours then watched another customer come in and do the same. We were sitting at a table right in the front where we could see everything at the front counter. I looked up and there sat our food with other customers hovering right over it. They did not call our number. I did not see the owner that I remember from before. She ALWAYS had a welcoming smile on her face. Their employees need educated on proper customer service.
