Menards — Local services in Kewanee

Very poor customer service from the assistant General Manager of the store, Tony. I've spent lots of money at this menards in the last 4 months rebuilding my deck and in my lifetime. Last week I bought spindles for the railing. I needed 47 of them all bought and paid for. The yard tried to help me locate them and inventory was off. Ok fine I said I'd come back this weekend for them. Came back today and the inventory is still off and thr assistant manager has no idea when they'll get more because they haven't received them since September last year.

I say ok can you give me this other sku that you have plenty of inventory on and isn't even for sale in the store anymore. No display of it whatsoever but loads in stock.

Nope no can do. AGM claims they don't make any money off treated lumber. Must think I'm an idiot or something, menards is a retailer they have to have a mark up and make money otherwise they wouldn't be in business.

So instead of unloading some inventory that they don't even retail sale anymore, they lost a sale on the return spindles that they can't figure out inventory on and they also lost a lifetime customer. No advice or help on an alternative solution, just recommended I take what I can get on the wrong inventory item. Half of what I needed.

No inventory control and no customer service. Sad state for this menards in...

I HAVE ALWAYS PURCHASE AT,MENARDS AND HAD A CREDIT CARD i SELDOM USED. I WORKED FOR YEARS AT A FACTORY AND COULD NOT AFFORD MUCH. 3 YEARS AGO WE BOUGHT THIS HOUSE WITH CASH AND WE HAD TO DO SOME WORK ON IT. FIRST THING A NEW BATHROOM SINK. MENARD WOULD NOT HONOR MY CREDIT CARD. I REPLIED FOR ONE AND WAS TURN DOWN. I HAVE SINCE BOUGHT 2 DOORS, A NEW TOILET, NEW FLOORING, NEW FRONT PORCH STEPS, A RAILING FOR THE BASEMENT, BIG LADDER OTHER AND RECENTLY SPENT 748 DOLLARS FOR A SUMP PUMP AND THE LABOR TO GO WITH IT AND MUCH MORE OVER THESE LAST 3 YEARS.. YESTERDAY I WAS ASKED TO OPEN A CREDIT CARD AND I SAID I WAS TURNED DOWN BEFORE- TRIED AGAIN AND WASI REFUSED AND WILL GET A LETTER IN THE MAIL TELLING ME WHY. I LIKED IT WHEN I HAD IT, I GOT BIRTHDAY GIFTS EVERY YEAR PLUS MORE BUT BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY AT THAT TIME AND DIDN'T SPEND MUCH, I WAS LET GO. NOW, I CAN'T GET I T BECAUSE...

Less than amused with Kewanee menards. I'm a combat veteran, and I have a medical condition that doesn't allow me to wear a face mask. I walked in and the lady at the counter stopped me and asked me if I needed a face mask. I then proceeded to inform her that I had a medical condition. Her response was " well then you need to leave and do your shopping online". This is outrageous. Some of us don't have that luxury. I'm glad I served this country just to be denied service because of a medical condition I got while serving. Glad to know menards is pro veterans. I'll be taking my service to lowes at least they care...
