Cruis-In Cafe — Restaurant in Keysville

I use to love this place! Placed a Togo order and got the shrimp basket with double coleslaw as my sides, usually they put the coleslaw in a container not just thrown into a box! Well got someone to pick up my order and the shrimp were soaked in the coleslaw juice! I have always ordered the shrimp basket and it always came in little cups with lids well not this time. I’m usually not the type to complain, but couldn’t even eat my shrimp because they were so soggy and gross. Called and told the lady on the phone and she went and asked I’m guessing the manager and I was told there was nothing they could do! Like whattt!!! $16.95 dollars for something I couldn’t even eat, just ridiculous. Guess they don’t care about customers opinions or even saying sorry that happened! Won’t be ordering or eating in anymore! Sad sad!! Another once upon a time good restaurant but now gone completely down hill. Worst experience ever!! Least the waitress are nice, but management...

Was visiting from out of town, family recommended we stop in for dinner as they frequent this restaurant often. What a hidden gem! Good menu selection..not just burgers & fries. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the waitstaff was doing an incredible job with an almost full dinner crowd. Friendly service. Good food. I certainly will return when we visit again! My only negative thing..and no fault of the restaurant, is wheelchair accessibility. We made it work, customers/employees were helpful & accommodating. I did not observe a handicapped spot, may have missed it..but parked out front without incident. This would never keep me from returning, as everything was wonderful..esp those disco fries :) Thanks for a nice evening...

Just passing through on my way back to NC, found the Cafe accidentally and took a chance. Had the BBQ chicken sandwich and an oreo milkshake, both of which were fresh and delicious.

The real star of the show though was the waitress, Lindsey, who was working the entire front of house alone. They would need three people to replace her hustle and none of those replacements would match her friendly disposition, so I really hope they appreciate someone that can make a milkshake, take call-in orders, check on the patrons, run food and buss tables simultaneously, while still making time to connect with the customers.
