To-go order consisted of 1 taco of Barbara, 1 taco Carne Guisada, and the regular Carne Guisada plate. Unfortunately, I'm a tough critical on Tex-Mex food because I'm from S. Texas, bit here it goes: rice was very similar in color and texture to my Grandma's rice, but the taste was "neutral." It's not bland and not bad. It was fair. The beans were the same, fair. There are no issues with either. The Carne Guisada, on the other hand, needs some work. I'm not sure if the cook taste their own food, because at 1st bite, you can taste the overabundance of salt. I'm cool with the red sauce, kind of used to it living north of San Antonio, but it every bite was distinctly salt flavored. Overtook the gravy and meat flavor. The tacos werent an issue except the Carne Guisade one. Dont wxpect the flour tortillas to be homemade, but menu says their corn tortillas are so theres that. The Barbacoa was good but a wet greasy that soaked through the whole tortilla. Barbacoa is greasy, so not so much of an issue, but order extra tortillas if you order tp go Barbacoa tacos. The staff was very attentive and quick, the place was clean, and the parking was easy. I've ordered through the drive thru about 2 years ago, and then my burrito was just messy. Gave the place a whirl today. Place looks great on the outside, pictures look great, and I had hoped to make this place a top 3 in my search for good Tex-Mex food in the Killeen/ Harker Heights area. They had a great crowd come thru, so that's good for Menos, but I'm not sure if I will come back any time soon.

The carne asada fries where incredible. But that was about it . They where not busy . Maybe 6 other tables in the entire place had people seated, and it took almost 20 minutes to get drinks ... sweet tea and water . Finally was able to order (waitress was very nice ) and then the food came in an appropriate amount of time . The enchiladas where mediocre at best . The red sauce had NO flavor and the green sauce was very sour (I never discount stars for food that is properly prepared and cooked because just because I think it’s bad doesn’t mean it is, I do however rate on service, environment, cleanliness, friendliness, accurate fulfillment of order and billing and lastly, value.) which this place was very clean . The waitress was very nice like I said but the service was terrible. Worst ever . But I don’t think it was entirely her fault . I believe the person who sat us did not tell the person who served us we where even there but, we went in to remind them and still took more than 5 minutes to come take a drink order . Overall I wouldn’t recommend. I gave a 2 star and not a one because the waitress was nice and the place was very clean .

We stopped at Meno’s on Stan Schlueter around 5 pm on a weeknight. There were only a couple of other customers at the time, and we were seated right away. By the time we finished our meal and left, the place was packed with people. This is clearly a popular Mexican restaurant, and after eating there, we know why. The food was very good, and the service was well above average. We were given chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. The chips were crisp, and the salsa was addictive. We liked it so much that we asked for a refill! For our meals, I got the Supreme Burrito Plate, and my wife got the Chimichanga. We both got steak as the protein option. The steak was tender and flavorful. Both meals were large portions and were excellent. We both liked the Mexican rice. After eating at Meno’s, we can see why they are so popular. Meno’s is at the top of our list for Mexican restaurants in this area. We will be back!

If you have any sort of allergy BEWARE! I told them I can’t have dairy, I have a dairy allergy. I wanted to order certain fish dish. I asked if they could make it without dairy. She said the fish does not have dairy, they just cook it in butter. I asked if they could cook it without butter? She went back and ask (the kitchen I’m assuming). She came back and said that they didn’t know how to fry it or anything, so no they could not cook it without butter. I then ordered the taquito plate. And asked her if they could do that dairy free for my food allergy and if the sopapias had dairy? She went back and asked again. And just said well the tortillas have egg. I told her eggs weren’t dairy. And proceeded to order both. None came with any dairy I could see (cheese, sour cream, and such). But I took a pill just in case due to the unsurity of the waitress. That night I started having some of the worst cramps I have ever had in my life. To the point there were a few times I contemplated going to the ER. This lasted a 8-9 hours. Just unimaginable extreme full all over stomach pain. Definately something I ate was very dairy if even having taken pills I had this strong reaction. I will never trust them with my allergy again. If I hadn’t been with family I probably would have walked out when she told me that the fish didn’t have dairy, they just cook it in butter. It’s is only because of my strength and tolerance of high levels of pain that I was not in the ER last night because of this resturant.Anyone else would have been.

(lucky my intestines didn’t burst, I believe it was very close...

I tend to frequent this restaurant as it is close to my workplace and typically have great experiences with the location. I called in my order of Chips and Queso and Chicken Flautas, they told me the total and it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived in 15 minutes and there was nobody waiting. I gave the server my name and she handed me my items, I paid and left; I have never had issues with my orders therefore I did not think to check my order before leaving. I arrived back at work and opened my order and saw that I was given chips and salsa. I called back to see if I can come back and swap it out and the phone was answered on what seemed to be the last ring and I explained that I had to just picked up my order and that I had asked for chips and queso and was given chips and salsa, without a word or any acknowledgment I was being put on hold I was placed on hold. A few minutes later the person on the phone came back to the line and stated “I spoke to the person who took your order, she said you said chips and salsa. So it’s your fault.” I told her I did not say chips and salsa I asked for queso. She said I can come back to the store and pay the difference and bring back the salsa but they wouldn’t do anything else because it was again “my fault”. The lack of customer service has made me consider not going back...
