Denny's — Restaurant in King City

I think the servers are very nice and the food is absolutely delicious. I love the burgers and the salads and the breakfast. I had to four stars because we went on the day there we had a memorial for Jesus on April 14th 2017. And we didn't think call the restaurant ahead and let them know there'd be a big crowd. When we got there people that went to the memorial and King City and those that went to Greenfield and live in King City because they're Spanish and English congregations there were a whole bunch of us and only 2 servers and one cook. I have to say they handled it very well and they were honest and told us that there was an hour's wait once we got into our seat and we weren't even into a seat yet. Well some friends left to another restaurant and we ended up getting see this sooner than we thought. I have to say for only one cook for all the people in that restaurant they did an amazing job period our food came hot and just as good as if it were a slow day. The cook obviously takes pride in his job because we had not one complaint on our food. Our waitress on the other hand forgot a few things are drinks or shakes but we let that go because considering there was so many people she did a great job. So high recommend this Denny's to anybody who lives here or anybody who's traveling through period I haven't had a bad meal yet and I've lived here 9 years period but we did discuss with the servers about what was happening that evening because they were not expecting such a huge turnout and told them that next year we would call ahead of time so that they can have staff on hand. Took half hour just to get drinks; never asked if we wanted refills. We had to ask after flagging her down. Took over an hour to get the food!! The worst Denny's is at this location, OMG.

Also had to ask for syrup for pancakes (gave pancakes, no syrup) she said she'd go get it- took twenty minutes (we had already just took it from another empty table after 10 minutes). Really?!

Asked for an Oreo shake, it never came. Reminded her after we were done eating (more than an hour after we made the order) and also asked for a strawberry shake too- both never came.

Another person in our party had ordered a sandwich, even after an hour- it never came.

After nearly an hour of waiting & still no food; we had to ask for drink refills.

They had brought over an item we didn't order, we had to send it back. It must have been the wrong table.

They tried to bill us for it, we told them we didn't order it. They had to take that and the sandwich that never came off the tab. Two shakes weren't even listed on the tab, so yeah- we would have waited After Asking TWICE- & shakes were likely never coming...

They need to hire more people or at least find a way to make up for this bs before people leave.

Walked in and quickly greeted and seated. Fast service was provided by our waitress Diana. She was really polite and prompt with service.

Why did we pick Denny's in a low traffic area? Gotta be careful when traveling on Thanksgiving day (holiday). We searched for a breakfast restaurant on Google maps while driving to Oxnard from San Francisco and found Denny's to be a good spot in Kings city to stop for food and take a break from driving. There is a gas station right next to Denny's which is super low key and easy to fill up and take off after eating. The five stars are for clean restrooms.

The food was as expected and good coffee. I picked up the All American Grand Slam, but wanted to order from the Hobbit menu too. Enjoy Denny's for all the creative breakfast options.
