Kady's Kitchen — Restaurant in Kingsburg

Went in on a Thursday around 11am. A larger man stood by the door with a blank expression. He didn’t greet anyone and later it was brought to my attention that he was management by the way he treated the waitress’s. A friendly woman greeted us and sat us at a booth. She asked our drinks and gave us menus. She was moving around the whole room offering coffee refills and cleaning tables immediately. The two other waitresses acted like the weren't able to keep up with the customers . It was apparent when the lady that got our drinks for us wasn’t out waitress, when 15 minutes later a sour looking an slightly annoyed woman came and took our order. I wanted to leave at that point, but my husband was hungry. So we ordered lunch. Was disappointed that the plates sit up on the ledge for 5+ minutes and when they were brought out, the fries were so overcooked and tasteless, that I didn’t even eat them. My husband ordered a sandwich with chips. A restaurant is suppose to give small sealed bag of chips , not chips from a bag opened and dumped on plate. I had heard mixed reviews on this restaurant and thought I would try. I would never recommend it to anyone. The management man had a chip on his shoulder that projected non-approachable and two of the three waitresses can not multitask nor be pleasant to paying customers. My father in law goes here on his own all the time when visiting. So on May 6th our whole family went for the swedish pancakes. They were amazing with powdered suger and the berries they put on the side (Sorry, I don't remember the name of the berries they use). The service was great, they were packed full but still from the time we sat down to the time we got out pancakes was only 15 or 20 minutes. The one down side was that some of the pancakes were cold by the time they got out to us. I assume it was that some were ready first and they waited for the rest of the food before bringing them all out at once. It's a catch 22 for them, make half the party wait or bring some of the food cold. For most customera it's probably personal preference which you want them to do. but they took them back, and I assume microwaved them as they were back in 2 or 3 minutes. Over all a good breakfast and a good time. I gave 5 star on food and service, but 4 on atmosphere. The atmosphere was a little noisy but I'm sure most of the...

Fantastic food and service. Coffee was refilled three times. Swedish pancakes were Supreme. The bacon was cooked crispy and the scrambled eggs were cooked until done, not served slightly damp.

We will be back the next time we pass through Kingsburg.

Note to customers, don't get to a restaurant 30 minutes before closing and expect them to let you take a ton of time ordering. The cook is trying to close the kitchen. Every staff member is tired and needs to go home or to their next destination. If they close in half an hour, order promptly and be prepared to pay and be gone within that 30 minutes. Or order to go.
