I love Kuppa Joy!

I’m tired of bitter shots. The drinks are normally milked down, so I think customers don’t notice, but I can smell a bitter shot, and definitely know when it wasn’t pulled correctly. They don’t double check your order to insure it was right, then you get it completely wrong, with no apology, just an overall attitude.

However, the Kingsburg location lacks in customer service. Its not welcoming, the baristas don’t talk with the customers unless they have to, there is no fellowship between them and the customer and it feels disconnected.

Compared to other coffee shops, it is not a fast paced environment all the time, there should be developed relationships, and the baristas should leave issues at the door, and put on a work face.

I had high hopes for kuppa joy Kingsburg given its trendy vibe and prime location, but my experience left much to be desired. While the decor is cozy and the coffee itself was decent, the older woman barista with black hair was surprisingly rude, which overshadowed everything else. The person at the counter barely acknowledged my presence, sighed audibly when I asked about their menu. First time here visiting from out of state, but would definitely come back.

Their coffee roast is very good, and they take the time to do it right. Down to the foam hearts and leaves in your specialty coffee.

I also grabbed a ham and cheese croissant, and thought it was tasty with a good amount of both ham and cheese. It was a pocket croissant, so completely enclosed...not a cut half moon.

They had other good options for food and coffee, but the Almond Joy coffee was just what I needed on a Saturday morning.
