It was my first time going to a Perkins resturaunt. I hadn't eaten all day expect a chicken Jr sandwich at burger king. We had just finished pressure washing a deck and I was extremely hungry. My friends told me of this place called Perkins. So I said sure! We pulled into the parking lot around 830 and the place was packed. It was mainly senior citizens. We patiently waited to be seated. Somehow I knew I was in for a treat. We finally got seated and ordered our drinks. I got water to keep it cheap. Then I opened up the labyrinth of a menu and gazed upon the endless rows of food choices. I was scared, i didn't want to get the wrong thing but it all looked so Good! Finally I decided on the "Big Country". This delicious monstrosity is piled full of hash browns, bacon, eggs, ham, and gravy. I thought that was the end the then the kind waitress said you can add pancakes for a dollar. I said YESSS! Then the wait for all this delicious goodness began. My friend kept us entertained by making funny comments and drawing nude pictures on his Samsung Glaxy note 8. I was losing hood in a delicious meal when finally i saw it... The glorious food coming to our table.. I readied my fork, excited for what was to come. I finally took my first bite and it was HEAVEN, the best feeling next to sex. I bit into the pancakes, my taste buds squirming with the deliciousness. My insides were expanding to allow room for the flavor goodness. I finally finished the pancakes and had a few bites left of the big country. I was ready to give up... I was about to puke out everything in my body. But my friend ZACK the SACK pushed me to finish what I started. Finally through the feeling of about to explode I finished my meal. Perkins is an experience I will...
Read moreCame to Kingsport to visit family and decided on staying at the comfort inn. While speaking to my grandfather, we were trying to figure out somewhere to have dinner without going far, and low and behold, I see this absolutely beautiful Perkins across the road with a packed parking lot. We go to have dinner, only walking seconds across the road, and as soon as we get in, we are greeted by a nice host named Cooper, who was extremely friendly and well mannered. He then directed us to our table where without even having time to sit down, the waitress was already getting our drinks. I LIVE FOR SERVICE LIKE THAT. Not long after, a very nice waitress whose name is slipping my mind, took our orders. Not even a full 10 minutes go by until we have our piping hot delicious meals in front of us! (P.S. you cannot go wrong with the breakfast burger, although there are no wrong choices to make!) while enjoying our meal, without asking our server brought us extra napkins, was very attentive with refilling our drinks, and all around seemed as if she had lots of ambition for her job. The food was nothing short of spectacular. The dining room was quiet and peaceful, almost like having dinner and grandmas house. After this delicious meal, the Perkins G.O.A.T (Cooper) let us know that there was a deal going on, buy 3 muffins get 3 free, which we could not pass up. I’ve never enjoyed myself this much at a restaurant, so much so I made this account just to let everyone at this location know you are doing a spectacular job. Keep making food and treating every customer with love like you guys did today!!! Did I mention cooper...

EDIT - Response to the owner's reply:
I gave you that chance that day, I explained it to the server... she said "well that's what you get when you use fresh eggs!" Look, I cook eggs all the time without getting shell in it, I make French toast all the time and I drench the bread in egg batter, and I cook scrambled eggs until the shine is just gone. Potatoes need to be turned and tossed to get the center a bit. And no I don't want a job. You can't let food leave the kitchen this way and you can't have your server serve it if it does. The eggshell was right on top, two good sized pieces, I should have photographed it. There was almost zero powdered sugar on the French toast by the way, one of the wonderful things about French toast is good egg battered toast with butter and powdered sugar before the syrup.
You want to make it right? Buy my breakfast and do it right and if you do I'll amend my rating. That was darn expensive, but at any price I just expect my food to be prepared and served professionally, I get that at Waffle House for crying out loud. And no this is not a bribe and I am not looking for a handout, I'll donate the price of the meal to the Disabled Vets.
My girl and I hardly ever get a day off together and this was really disappointing. I get it, it's a chain restaurant... but you as a manager or owner have the ability to make this experience your own. I hope you...
