I should break 4 MILLION with this review :) ..This is a place where they know their costumers names. Nice little local spot diner style. Old building, decor etc.. Love the vibes and the enthusiasm for the costumers, real personal place. Spend a lot of energy providing good service but no extra time spent on the food. You get a prepared (Frozen) 8oz. Patty. Which is fine if you can figure out how to get that natural taste into one, or any taste for that matter. I got it plain lettuce tomato, etc which was all fresh,. I opted to pair it with a Huge drink and 5 onion rings that taste as if they not only had been frozen too Long but an after thought as well. For the $ I leave here feeling disappointed that I am disappointed. I strongly Dislike saying anything bad about local family spots trying to keep the doors open and provide. However if they don't care any more about the product they are putting out then maybe it shouldn't bother me for what I have to say. Have some pride Compete, go to a local competition, do something, raise the bar even if we have to pay $2 more. GO Sloopy & BTW this was my 3rd time here Guys over a 2 year period why they are just now getting a review , for all my locals didn't bother with pics, everyone knows where it is.

I love little out of the local places like Sloopys. Sometimes, you can find absolute gems. Sadly, this was not the case. I will say i loved the diner's atmosphere. It was a little slice of classic Americana. The french fries were the highlight. Golden and crispy with seasoned salt (I love seasoned salt on fries). The "Sloopy" burger was not very good. The veggies (lettuce, tomato, onion) were very fresh. The bun was adequate. The meat was horrible. It was a very noticeable frozen meat slurry patty. Just had a horrible taste and texture of a dish sponge. The "trashy" tater tots were a letdown as well. My son could not eat them. I tried them and agreed they were inedible. Maybe other things on the menu are better, but if you name a burger after the restaurant, it should be the best thing on the menu.

There is a rule I have. If there is a place with a lot of pickup trucks in the parking lot at noon, go there. Located just up the road from Eastman Chemical plant, it's your basic quick burger/ dog/ salad, etc joint. Small room with 11 tables and 6 stools at a counter. Daughter and I both went with the Sloopy (made to order) cheeseburger (8 oz. vs. the regular 5 oz.) and it was truly outstanding. Saw someone with a chili dog with more ground beef in the chili that liquid. I nearly changed my order on that sight alone. Onion rings were darn near perfect. Want fish tacos? They have them. Burritos and quesadillas. Yes. They also have a 2 lb burger challenge. 8 oz. Burger was plenty.

Me and 2 coworkers went for lunch 2/9/23. I ordered 2 hot dogs, fry n drink. The menu inside had NO prices for nothing. So she totals it up, 15.60. I bout lost my mind. Well, i paid n swallowed that down first. When i got my order, my fries were burnt to a crisp crunchy brown. The hot dog chili was nothing short of dogfood that i wouldnt give a dog and a weinee that a dog wouldnt eat. I took it back, all of it. Instead i got a cheeseburger that was just normal and some fresh fries. My one co worker had the hot ham and it barely had any ham on it. My other co worker he just didnt eat his fries cause he got the same crispy burnt batch i did first. Im just flaberghasted if i spelled it right. THE MONEY THEY CHARGE, THEY SHOULD BE ON POINT. Theres alot if inexperience goin on at Sloopys. And you can tell it . I would say ill never go back. Thats the way consumers are. Have a bad experience and its over for good. Id like to think that i can go there in the future when they have better cooks that wouldnt send out something to a customer that they wouldnt eat. They double the money for half the quality. If that dont stop, Sloopys will cease to exist. And id probably say theyve been losing customers for a while. I just dont see folks paying twice as much for half...

Food was great like always. All the employees are great except for the front manager. He is never working when im there he is either talking or on his phone. One time we came in and i guess they closed in 45mins which we didnt realize they closed that early or we wouldn't of came in. He told us we could only order togo food. We left. Another time i had a 20oz drink i was gonna throw away. He told me id have to take it outside. We left. This time he brought our food out and literally stuck out our tray of food right in my face, didnt say anything so i thought ok. Took the food off and handed it out after we figd out what was what. I asked for some ketchup and he goes back and starts talking. So i got up and got it my self. Im not sure why he works there or what his deal and i dont like to talk bad on ppl for one bad experience but iv been eating there for over 20yrs now and hate that i cant just go eat without dealing w his lack of regard for customers. I also am a kitchen manager so i may hold others to a higher standard but and i give props to sloopys kitchen manager cause he not only took our order but then made our food. If you hate ur job that bad then do something else dont take it out on your life long loyal customers whos business pays for...
