Very poor customer service, overpaid, and because I threw away the food that was wrong, no refund could be given for the $3 extra charge I paid. The manager said I would have to return to the store with the pork fried rice. I placed an online order for pick up, paid extra for plain lo mein as a side instead of pork fried rice, even gave a $2 tip at the time of the online order. When I asked if he could ask the cook to verify he packed the order wrong, he told me there are too many orders and there was nothing he could do. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

I cant believe I haven't left a review until now. This place is truly a gem. It's tucked away by the post office so you might have to look for it, but it's worth finding. They have a website for ease or ordering, and we have done takeout every time. I would definitely recommend going here, they have a big menu of options to choose from. We ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken, General Tsos Chicken, Crab Rangoons, Teriyaki Chicken, and Hot and Sour Soup. 10/10 deliciousness! :)

We eat here at least once a week, food is amazing, staff are nice, prices are reasonable and portions are more than most can eat. We have eaten the Moo Goo Gy pan and the Moo Shu Chicken with veggie egg rolls. So good. If you liked Plum Tree in Coloniel Heights you will, love, this place, same great food.

hate to give it 3 stars but have to. granted it is closed now, temporarily, and do hope it re opens, but 2 weeks before the closing it was very questionable. I've been ordering from china house for around 5 years. it was to me, fantastic. for what i enjoy it was well worth the price and then some. service whether dining in or ordering to the home was easy to do. I'm assuming maybe its new management this past year. but it is the same delivery guy. that man is such a pleasure to speak and deal with. placing an order now however is a challenge over the phone. unless ordering by number, if one has to customize their order more than just saying, "no carrot" nothing is understood and it becomes a losing battle. regardless, anything fried I've had except for the chicken wings were horrid. the sweet sour pork which is battered, as well as sesame chicken, both dishes are deep fried were hard as rocks and greasy. the rice was like mushy somewhat and pasty. any dishes that contained vegetables that i ordered had a very over abundance of onions, in some cases was the only veg in the dish besides a few carrot slices. sauces were runny as well. only mentioning this due to noticing the place is closed temp as i tried to call and order. though i said what i did, i try and keep faith that it will be different when ordering a new time. thats only because it was or is my fav place to order chinese food that...

Yes, some people use a tablet to translate, as someone else's review stated. No, ordering online makes no difference because they do not even look at any notes you put, or translate them or whatever. You can ask for chopsticks or extra water chestnuts and it is ignored.

I liked coming here because they have Szechuan dishes for $7-8 on their all day lunch menu, not $12-15 like at other places you may visit. But honestly, the $12-15 at other places is so much more worth it.

The food here is regularly a disappointment. Their Teriyaki Chicken skewers are burnt to a crisp. The Crab Rangoon are practically empty inside. The Szechuan dish isn't really spicey no matter what level you order it at, assuming since they don't actually look at the order. If you pay the extra fee to get soup with your order they don't bring it, because they don't check the order.

But it's edible, if you need to save the other half...

China House restaurant is absolutely amazing. Don’t pass it by just because of its looks! even though it isn’t that spectacular on the outside, I dare you to take a step inside and try the food. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for authentic Chinese food. It was better than I was expecting and definitely worth the trip. I had the lo mien, and that was especially good, I could not have asked for better. And the donuts we had after the meal were amazing. Whatever you do, don’t pass this place up because of your first judgement, give it a try and you will be...
