They earned ZERO stars, but since I have to pick at least one from the five to leave a review they got oneâŚ.Google should really create a horrid experience category...
Save yourself some aggravation and dine elsewhere (i.e., Wendyâs or Burger King). I have always been a McDonald's diehard. I worked at McDonald's (Kirkland, WA) in the early '90s when I was putting myself through college. I worked my way up from the sandwich assembly table, to the grill, to the main grill, then on to the drive through and finally the front counter. We were taught two cardinal rules:
The customer is ALWAYS right and deserves respect simply because they chose to patronize the establishment.
Get the order RIGHT the FIRST time around.
I just assumed this franchise abided by those very same cardinal rulesâŚ.not so. Let me share my experience with you. the saga began when we visited their drive-thru, placed an order. paid for it, and then drove home to devour our mealâthe kids were hungry so we knew we needed to get home, quickly.
We arrived home (less than 5 min after our purchaseâwe live in Dallas, PA), opened the bags, and found the following problems
The burger and fries were COLD Sandwiches were missing (two purchased sandwiches were absent). The sodas were water-logged, especially the root beer, and had virtually NO carbonation.
I was upset. I now had hungry children to worry about all because of my mistake of going to McDonald's for their dinner. Unfortunately, I also made several incorrect assumptionsâŚ
First incorrect assumption: We assume they knew not only how to take the order, but also how to fill the order with a penchant to detail. Clearly this was not the case an described, above.
Second incorrect assumption: They really wanted feedback and wanted to correct their mistake. Unfortunately not soâŚ.Horrid staff (manager JoAnn thinks it's appropriate to TALK OVER the customer when I tried to explain to her, over the telephone, that they got the order wrong and food was not only missing, but cold, etc., etc.).
Third incorrect assumption: the franchise owner really cared about how their customers were being treated and how their representatives (the employees, especially the manager) were presenting them to the public. I asked JoAnn for the telephone number for the owner. She promptly told meââYou canât get in touch with them!â Here is the office number.â
âNo sweat,â I thought, âI will call and speak to their office in the morning despite my anticipated very busy clinic day.â So, I called the very next morning and several times throughout the day all to no availâŚI simply got Christineâs voicemail. So, I gave up hope of speaking with a human and left a message for Christine, requesting she call me back to discuss my LESS THAN excellent experience at her franchiseâŚ.guess whatâŚ? You guessed itâŚShe didnât even bother to call back.
I did, however, complete the online survey from the link on the receipt, and summarized my less than excellent experience. I doubt anyone at McDonald's cares or will even call me backâŚBUT, I want yâall to BEWARE and go elsewhere. Some other eatery that will treat you, your order, and your food with TLC. and the respect you deserve for patronizing their establishement. I know for a fact that Burger King is not even a block away from that McDonald's, and Wendyâs is nearby as wellâŚit is my humble opinion and experience that they at least DO CARE about their customersâŚAND, YOU will get it YOUR way...
I am still very upset by the whole affair and I will most likely liquidate my McDonaldâs stock for their...
Read moreThis McDonaldâs is not good when it comes to closing time. They close the doors at 11pm, we ordered our food before 10:30, live one minute away, waited in the drive through line for 30 minutes, and was not given our food when we got to the window at 10:58. They put the gate up and said we werenât charged and had to leave. The mission of this franchise is, âWe serve delicious food people feel good about eating, with convenient locations and HOURS and affordable prices, and by working hard to offer the speed, choice and personalization our customers expect.â Despite this, the Shavertown location will turn people away after 10:57, no matter what time you ordered or how long you waited in the drive through line. Why make customers order when you know will have to tell them the same thing you told my friends and I on the phone after calling at 10:58. âYou will not be charged for your order but we are closed.â I have worked at 6 restaurants in my life, and not one place has ripped off customers like this. Anywhere I have ever worked had waited for the last customer to pick up their food after closing time, even if they are 25 minutes late. This location should stop taking orders after 10:30-10:40pm if they want to close promptly at 11pm. It is that simple, if you do not want the business late at night, do...
