Budd's Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in Kingston

I don't even want to give them one star. I brought my mother here for a luncheon with her classmates. She's in a wheelchair. No ramp. Ok, I assist up the stairs. They couldn't be seated on the first floor according to the waitress. Then the waitress comes over yelling that my mother "isn't allowed down the stairs" so she can't use the bathroom basically. This place seems to forget accessibility is a right- not a privilege. Service was terrible.

I just saw your reply. 1. I did not call for the group. 2. We arrived after the group arrived. You're trying to justify the treatment we received and when you have nothing, things must be made up.

Also, if your son was in a wheelchair, it's even worse that you justify this behavior or don't work toward accessibility. My son has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and is a full time wheelchair user so we are used to inaccessibility but have never been treated like this over the issue. Accessibility is a right- not a privilege.

You Need To Know? Arrived around 5:30 & were able to be seated immediately. The bar itself was busy. Service from the staff was quick but the kitchen was inconsistent. We ordered a couple pizzas, a chicken cheesesteak Stromboli, chicken wings & chicken bites. The chicken bites came out first & by themselves. Next came 1 pizza followed by the other 5 minutes later. After eating a slice of pizza, which was pretty good fried pizza, a chicken cheesesteak sub came out but was not the Stromboli that we had ordered. After correcting them on this we reminded them of the Red Garlic wings that we also ordered. Another 5 minutes passes & finally our hot wings were served, not the red garlic that we ordered. At this point eat them & shut up I guess. Eventually the Stromboli made it to our table. While we ate our sporadic meals we were even entertained to a loud verbal argument from an employee & an intoxicated patron. Made the dinner a bit interesting for sure. Now...

Okay….so I really wanted to like this pizza joint…I really did. I called ahead to place my order…decided I would like to truly the appetizer sampler…I asked: “what is the difference between the two types of shrimp appetizers!” His response was: “how should I know?! I think one has coconut!” So I ordered a sampler of fried mushrooms, the coconut shrimp, and jalapeño poppers.” Big mistake… each of them was downright soggy when sampled. Okay…so moving on to the pizza…I ordered a pizza pie with sweet sauce, garlic, and onions—half mushroom half pepperoni. I asked for crispy…received soggy in the middle…🙄 I also ordered a dozen extra crispy chicken wings with garlic sauce..now those came out PERFECTLY delicious…so perhaps they should stick to only chicken wings?🤷🏻‍♂️ Finally, they do offer a 10% military discount…but make sure you ask for it before you give him your...
