88 Eat Street Asian Fusion — Restaurant in Kingsville

My son ordered a Boba drink and got with it a side of hair 🤢.. if you know anything about these boba drinks you know they come sealed and are only opened by stabbing the straw they provide you with through the top plastic seal. So why is it that there is hair in this drink? To make matters worse my son tried to take this drink back and ask for a refund all while feeling sick about having drank some of it already. One of the employees even mentioning to him that he has pulled hairs out of his throat before while laughing 🤨 what??? How is this ok? My son is sick to his stomach and was told he wouldn't be able to receive a refund but was offered a replacement drink. This is absolutely disgusting and given the circumstances of course my son didn't want another drink SO NO THANK YOU. This wasn't food slightly undercooked this was someone's 🧬 in my son's drink. No apologies given but instead he was met with hostility as if he had ripped out his own hair off his head and somehow stuck it in the cup before resealing it and taking it back. Gross 🤢 and I only wish I lived near to go with him because I do believe they should have in the least given his money back...

Newest restaurant in town. Food is really good. The spicy options could get away with a little more spicy, though. The staff is really friendly. Getting the food is easy and quick. Desert also looks amazing.

Update, one year later:

I had given the restaurant a good review. We enjoy the food. Today it wasn't a good experience. It took over thirty minutes to get food ordered from the menu, not the warming table. Some of our order was delivered to another table, then returned, and given to us. Asked for a new order, not sure if the people at the other table handled the food. Restaurant refused to remake the food.

Walked up to counter, saw part of our oder laying on the table, on the bare table, not on a plate. Asked to remake. They remade it, but refused to make the other order that was sent to the other table. 30 minutes later, they remade the order.

It was sad that this happened. I like this place. It seems that they are understaffed and some of the senior staff were in a bad mood. I'm glad they resolved the issue, just upset that it took 45 minutes. By this time, our food was cold and kind of lost...

Stood in line about 30 minutes and was served 3 plates by one girl and the last plate by someone not wearing a mask. I didn't have a problem with it until I heard her cough. At that point I asked her to have someone else wearing a mask to finish my order. The young girl complied and at the same time advised an Asian lady of our request. My guess is that this Asian lady was the owner. She proceeded to blow us off and when I asked her if she was going to finish our order she went on to tell me, in English, that she didn't speak English and she didn't understand. And proceeded to rant and rave, arms flailing and all , in English. This is the first time I have been to this place so I have no opinion of the food, but the service is horrid. And the owner is rude. I'll stick to the Indian...
