Read moreThis cozy spot opened up in my hometown and it’s been abuzz on our community pages, so the hubby and I stopped by a couple weeks back and sampled a few pastries. Right now I am sitting here at a table enjoying some of the warmest, flavorful GF banana walnut bread (I didn’t need the GF, but it was the only option if I wanted it). I could tell the flavor is different than I’ve made or eaten before, but it’s not wet or gooey. Just some good banana bread with the perfect amount of walnut. I’ve just ordered my SB order here and it’s pretty comparable; I truthfully couldn’t tell you the difference in a blind taste test. The ladies here are a joy when you walk in and the place itself is absolutely adorable. I am glad to write this review and am happier knowing it’s so close to home and I’ll be a forever customer. Best wishes to the people at Shouting Grounds for a long business life! Oh, and bonus, they are a Christian business and the decor reflects it. They also have free Bibles at the door that anyone who needs one...
Read moreFirst off, this place is truly a gem! The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting — a perfect spot to lounge, study, or spend time with family. I love that it feels welcoming for both groups and individuals looking to get work done.
That said, I do feel the menu is a bit overpriced. For example, I paid about $7 for a 16 oz iced coffee. While it was good, it didn’t taste as bold or fresh as I would expect at that price point. Perhaps the coffee is freshly made, but the beans themselves may not be as bold or freshly roasted — that’s just how it came across to me as a customer. I also tried the cinnamon bun, which was delicious, but again on the pricey side. They are generously sized, but perhaps offering a smaller (and more affordable) pastry option could be a nice addition.
Overall, this is a beautiful small business worth supporting, but for me personally it feels more like a luxury stop rather than a regular spot due...
