As a boomer, Wienerschnitzel is the only fastfood that still taste just like the original product of my childhood. My wife shares the same sentiment. But the chili at this restaurant tasted different for some reason. I brought it up to my wife and she said she was about to say the same thing. So, it wasn't just my tastebuds failing me. We can't possibly return here for that reason. One of my wife's chili dogs had no chili on it but there was chili "smudge" beneath her hotdog weiner. That was really weird. She brought it to the counter for chili, and when it was returned, the bun was split on both sides. It was impossible to eat, so she just left it. One more small note. The onions on mine (my wife doesn't do onions) were not minced as I'm used to. They were pretty course. That's not a big deal, I just haven't seen them chopped so course. I prefer the minced or finer chopped onions. I don't know why the chili did not taste authentic and we hope Wienerschnitzel hasn't made any changes to their recipe. That...
Read moreI grew up in California with Wienerschnitzel as a favorite. I live less than 3 minutes from it. Today, I ordered a meal with a burger as I was heading back to work. I ate the fries on the way, I work on Northpark drive in Kingwood. By the time I got to work, I had about 5 minutes to eat my burger. Imagine my disappointment when I open the box and, no party. I paid almost $10 for a hamburger, with cheese, which is about the size of a McDonald's regular hamburger. I had to wait until I got off work to return it. I walk in and politely explain my issue and give the on duty manager my meatless product and ask for my money back. I worked fast-food myself, I know the trials and headaches. I remember making it right by the customer, by either remaking the product or giving a full refund of the purchase. I am not hungry at this time so I asked for my money back. Take it as you want, but all I was refunded was the price of the burger, not including the tax, $3.09. Needless to say, I will not be coming...
Read moreI’ve been hearing all the good reviews about this place so I decided to stop by and give it a try. First off the gentleman who took my order, Trenton was very polite. We ordered our food, I got a combo num 1 with c/c fries. My wife wanted a banana split. They were out of ice cream. As I’m waiting for my food I notice they already have the hotdogs pre made stacked up waiting to be sold. I like my food prepped after I order it. Got my food and the all beef hotdogs were alright (had to pay extra $1 for all beef hotdog per hotdog)Chile cheese fries were pre boxed and cold. The chile was hot but fries were soggy and cold. And the sweet tea was a 2 on 1-10 scale. Overall I would drive the few extra miles and go to JCI in humble. 2 thumbs down for...
