My heart dropped as we pulled into the parking lot and I couldn’t find Temptations restaurant. It has a new owner and has been renamed Noma. Still looks the same inside and the menu hasn’t changed. I can’t help myself whenever I go there I swear I’m going to order something different and then I end up ordering the grilled Tuna Nicoise Salad. It’s the best plate of food in all of Wilmington, “artwork on a plate”!
Update: Visited NOMA again last weekend, 6/1/19 with my daughter, 4 year old granddaughter and my sister. I thoroughly looked over the menu. I’ve always wanted to try the Chicken Orange Pecan salad and the Pimento Cheeseburger, it’s so hard to decide! Meanwhile my daughter and sister are each set on the Salad Trio option, which included their choice of Salad, Soup and a side dish. A great menu idea and only $9.99. By the way, I’m not the only one who always orders the same thing as they both order the French Onion Soup, again! My little granddaughter seems to have a mature palate an somehow navigates to the more expensive dishes on the menu. “You really want the Crab Cake?” “Are you really going to eat it?” ”Okay then, crab cake it is .” The waitress appeared to take our order and I still haven’t decided. Oh no, my turn... When she looked at me, waiting for my response, I even surprised myself when I blurted out, “I’ll have the Tuna Nicoise Salad please.” And I wasn’t sorry, not one bit, or should I say “bite”.
P.S. Turns out that my granddaughter ate every mouthful of that crabcake; I...
Read moreMy family and I went to 8207 NOMA after receiving a gift card. I was impressed right off the bat when a gentleman (I think the owner) opened the door for my 6 yr. old son and I. We were seated promptly, and they immediately brought out some crayons and a coloring sheet for my son. Once he finished the coloring sheet, they brought out a stack of paper for him to draw on, all without us even having to ask. We ordered the hot pimento cheese dip and crostini appetizer, which was out of this world! My husband had the pimento cheese burger and pasta salad, which he loved. My son had the BYO burger, which he said "Blew his mind" (we found that incredibly funny!). I had the monte cristo sandwich with french onion soup. Everything that we ate was delicious, and the quality of the food and service was outstanding. My husband and I were very impressed with the food and service, and will happily come back whenever we're in the area. This restaurant is...
Read moreFood is good and convenient however they do NOT visible write the packaged date in the food containers. They put a “secret code”of their own on the container. PSA-This is not transparent to the consumer that is purchasing the food. They say it’s good for 5 days after you leave with it, however when I asked when this was package it was package 5 days prior (had to ask 2 times to get a specific answer for the exact date it was packed) So you’re selling me expired chicken salad and saying it’s good for the next 5 days as well? I don’t think so honey….chicken salad made with Mayo is only good for about 4 days after it’s made. This isn’t right, so I put it back and let her know I wasn’t purchasing d/t this. I don’t think I will be returning due to this reason and I will be reporting this to the health department & hopefully no one gets sick eating expired food from here…DO BETTER AND PUT PACKAGE DATES ON YOUR...
