Two Guys Grille — Restaurant in North Carolina

Two Guys Grille never fails to impress, and my six visits in 2023 only solidified my admiration for this gem of a restaurant. The combination of consistently high-quality food and exceptional service makes it a standout choice for casual dining in Porters Neck.

We have had several different meals during 2023, some old some new, but all were delicious:

Freddie's Special Salad, featuring the choice of cheese steak, chicken Philly, or black bean Philly, was a standout favorite. Served over a bed of spring mix with tomatoes and cucumbers, it mirrored the excellence of their Philly sandwiches. The option to customize with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, and white American cheese made it a personalized delight, and it has been my favorite since I found this restaurant in 2019.

The Mozzarella Sticks were a delightful start to our meals, with perfectly golden-fried cheese complemented by a rich marinara sauce that added an extra layer of flavor. The crispy texture and savory goodness made it a must-order item on every visit.

The Large Garden Salad was a refreshing and fulfilling choice, showcasing a vibrant mix of spring greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, cheddar jack cheese, croutons, and eggs. Each ingredient was fresh, and the combination created a symphony of tastes that pleased the palate.

The Southern Cobb Salad was a hearty and flavorful option, with a perfectly grilled chicken breast elevating the mix of eggs, tomatoes, crispy bacon, black olives, cucumbers, red onions, and bleu cheese crumble. The combination of ingredients was well-balanced, creating a satisfying meal.

The Bacon Cheeseburger was a classic done right - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It's the kind of burger that makes you appreciate the simplicity of a well-executed dish.

The Philly Quesadilla was a delightful twist, and my personalized combination of cheese steak, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and jalapeno peppers made for a memorable and satisfying experience. The melding of flavors within the warm embrace of a quesadilla was a culinary triumph.

In addition to the outstanding food, the service at Two Guys Grille was exceptional. The staff's attentiveness and friendliness added to the overall positive dining experience. I can confidently say that Two Guys Grille has earned its place as my favorite go-to spot for delicious, well-crafted meals and top-notch service. Here's too many more visits...

First time here. Absolutely loved it. We had the Mahi tacos and the Bleu Bacon Burger. Skinny fries. Forgot my side salad but all good. The tacos had a salad in it 👍I added hot sauce. The sauce to dip the fries in was amazing! Our new favorite. Thank you Justin and the staff for excellent service and food. Love that you are walking distance too. See you again soon.

Went back for the Philly and Bleu Burger. Justin remembered I left my salad and tried to contact me. He gave me one on this visit. Such a great place. After 2 days we still have leftovers.

Okay so we went here again and was so hesitant on the Burger with jam on it. I love peanut butter with a Sunnyside egg but Jelly? It was phenomenal! Jesse and Ellie were amazing with service. I can't remember the sweet girl with sunflower earrings but so attentive as well. Thank you all for such amazing everything! If you don't come here you are missing out. Short staffed but you would never have noticed. They all stepped in as a team.

My husband and I were going to try something new yesterday but we decided to go back to one of our local favorites. You can't go wrong here. I had the impossible burger and he had the jelly burger. Yummy as always. Corrine, our waitress, was the only one there besides the manager up front. That girl killed it!! Had a smile and excellent, excellent service all around... even taking orders over the phone. Jesse, the owner was doing paper work but always obsereving and jumping in to help her when needed. He is a very kind person. Always helping out and great with the customers and employees. Everyone should have a boss like him. We will always support businesses as this. They are rare. I always recommend this place.

All the servers greeted us on the way in. Taylor, Jenna, Ellie and Jesse.We had the best service from Ellie today! Jesse kept checking on us as well. They were packed. Everyone was calm and worked as a team. Most impressive kitchen. Damien, you all impressed my husband and I. You ALL treat everyone like family here. It is recognized and appreciated!

Another trip today May 15 2023 as my husband was craving it. Becky who took our order is a rockstar. Sweetest person and very attentive. The staff here is always all smiles with amazing service. I am sure it has much to do with a respectful management. If you don’t try this place you are...

I don’t want to drop the 5 star review I gave a year ago because I still love the food and had consistently good service for many years. However, I am highly disappointed in the service I received a month ago from Kelsey - and her behavior afterwards. I was going to let the extremely bad service go because it was such a one off over a 7 year period of patronizing this restaurant almost weekly. I haven’t been back in the restaurant since the bad service a month ago but had not written the place off. But Kelsey’s behavior just a few days ago warrants mention and notice to her employer, managers and future patrons.

Kelsey decided to bad mouth me and tell outright lies about me (an entire month after she served me) to some friends I have in a nearby restaurant. I’m not sure why other than I left her a 10% tip because she poured me one glass of wine and then ignored me for 25 minutes - while I sat at the bar and she passed back and forth in front of me during that 25 minutes. She also served a couple sitting right next to me … from their initial beers, food, taking their plates away, additional beers and giving them their tab.

Somehow she ignored me, my empty wine glass and my wallet and debit card laying on the bar - all indicators (to a decent server at least) that I was ready to get my tab. She also ignored all of my attempts to get her attention as she passed back and forth in front of me. I had somewhere to be, as I often do, when I stop in there and had to ask someone else for my tab. I’ve never had a problem with food or service and have always tipped a minimum of 20%. I have only tipped 10% a handful of times in my life as a matter of fact. A server has to be really bad to get less than 20% from me. I was completely surprised at my service that night but some people just aren’t good at their jobs and it is what it is.

But to make lies up about me and tell them to other people in the restaurant industry - no. How unprofessional and immature. A better use of Kelsey’s time would be focusing on how to be a good server.

I will reiterate that I have never had bad service before Kelsey. I’ve also never heard of anyone behaving like she did.

I will also add that Justin and Autumn are great servers and do their job well.

I still recommend Two Guys. Just ask for any server...
